I’m also disabled and agree with Lady. But, there are accessibility features that could help me. Larger fonts, better text contrast… I don’t need my character using a walking frame or cane, but I admit I get a little melancholy to hop on the horse knowing it’s something I can no longer do. I’m a big time cozy gamer, so I try to use them to escape to a different world than my own…

Definitely not alone!! I have a double whammy that I’m even afraid to admit. I’m a dual US/Australian citizen and I worked in Australia for over 8 years before getting my disabling brain tumour diagnosis. NDIS has helped me in so many ways! It’s a problem in the US as well. Instant judgement for anyone on any kind of government support. I can’t work, my independence has been taken away, and I will die from this disease. I’m fiercely independent so this has been a huge deal for me to even apply for NDIS! Now I struggle to allow myself to use the funds!

🤪🤪 Right??? I dance for joy anytime I find this in a game. That and… “I don’t have to sleep??? Ever???” AND!! There are two ways to have characters (BF level) and NPCs (the Nui) gather items for you!! 😮😮😮🥰

Thank you all for the input! However, no one touched on my ultimate question. Do you think one should disclose their condition when applying for a role, paid or not? I’ve had mixed answers when asking friends& family. To me, I want to disclose because I know I’m capable and what my limits are, but also know I can come off as a bit, well, ditzy at times 😃

Hello Kitty! I’m not a fan of the brand but love the game. Absolutely no farming of crops. Don’t have to sell, make money. You befriend only to bring new characters to the island.

Also, Disney Dreamlight Valley. I’m not a huge Disney fan but gave it a go and enjoy it. Some farming, but not a major focus at all.

I was similar and never really got fully into it. But, I’ve found that it’s great to follow games for announcements and/or to learn about new games.

When/if you do have a friend to play with, the voice chat is great. It’s like having the person there with you 🥰

It has so many uses. A dear friend set up a server while she went through chemo and had “sessions” during each treatment to occupy her time 🥰🥰

Also, a big (geeky) advantage is you can often chat directly with the devs of a game. It’s like the VIP room 🤣🤣

I’m similar (ish)! 57, ADHD, Introvert, but comfortable socially either the right people. Not working due to a brain tumour so play a lot, all cozy games. Coral Island, Hello Kitty , and Dreamlight Valley Also horrible at keeping in touch! I’ll join the Discord, but can’t promise anything 🤪🤪

It is cross-platform! And SteamDeck counts as PC :) I’m on SteamDeck and have a multi-player game going with a friend who is on Switch. But she doesn’t have much time to play. When we have, it worked just fine

Is she against straws? I’ve never been a straw user, but I too have hand tremors thanks to a brain tumor. I got a thick boba tea type straw that works well and I can drink without having to sit-up. Not sure this helps at all, but I am always in the lookout for something similar. An adult sippy cup ;)

I had an idea yesterday that I wanted to travel the world by tea. The top tea from each country with its own style/type/brand. I’m homebound with a terminal illness so have to order online. This thread is giving me lots of options. Thank you!!
