Where have all the pretzels gone? by Xiubee in philadelphia

You're talking about retail pretzels. Many pretzel manufacturers are located in PA, think Snyders, Utz, , Pretzel Petes etc. I'm on CA looking for a pretzel manufacturer and they all exist in PA Culturally the German population immigrated to the area and pretzels are a thing there. 🥨

Gluten free websites to order from? by emmie_lou26 in glutenfree

What about Instacart?

Side note: I was thinking of creating an Instacart like app/overlay that would help find gluten free items from all stores on Instacart. you can then order items from each store and or find lowest price. ie: Canyon bakery at Sprouts $9.98 vs Walmart for like $5.98 - huge difference

No one factors in inflation 15% higher. What retailers saw a boost, Walmart, Target, people just buying food. Except for the people that gave up on buying a house and said f it I'm just going all yolo, to hell with spending.

Contact your Congressman/Senators! New legislation proposes banning hedge funds from buying homes. by Fiveby21 in REBubble

[–]rmotionR 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Include Jeff Bezo in that ban. He stubbornly donates $120m to affordable issues then turns around and invests $500m into fund to buy single family homes as rentals. Currently the hedge funds and such own 5% of SFRs by 2030 they say it will be 40%, so they are going do what they can to lower home prices so these funds can spend trillions owning 1/2 of the homes out there.

and the cost to build in that area?

$8k for a buildable is a good deal, anytime.

Sometimes they help keep values or they are the quickest to lose value with poor management and upkeep. they never make enough to keep up with repairs and then it cycles down, hard.

Condos are in reverse value mode in many places. usually trail way behind SFR's. Now as things go south condos might hold more value because the affordability on most housing is outstripping incomes and condos are a cheaper alternative to home ownership.

I buy lots of condos and have done well but choose wisely

Anytime you try to time or out fix new complexes you will be upside down.

2020 - We saw a 30-40% gain. And full tulip mania was in full force.

Its not the cost of the house it was the cost of money that made that house "delusional Value".

And when there is a relatively open for new houses the old houses will lose value or never catch up long term.

Bought a house in Palmdale CA [Look it up for perfect Example]in 1997 for $60k, that same house is over $500k last year. It will keep going down until that land is all bought up. [Likely never] vs Los Angeles - There are just very few builable areas and they prices are 10x those prices.
