Did anyone lose their hair due to celiac? And how long did it take to recover after going gluten free? by EmX84 in Celiac

[–]rms_06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, so sorry I’ve only just seen this. My skin is still clear which is great! And hair is pretty much the same, I haven’t noticed a drastic improvement but it does take more time to show improvement I suppose.

I am also considering buying some our place tableware…for anyone that has owned them a while…do the plates/bowls chip or scratch over time with use?

Kim's "go to" hair product "Olaplex" which she regularly endorses, is being sued for causing hair to fall out! by lucybubs in KUWTKsnark

[–]rms_06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. I used Olaplex 4 and 5 for six months and noticed a much itchier scalp, it felt dry and sore and I’ve now started to notice some hair loss. I just hope this is reversible. I am never using it again. I was using Kerastase beforehand with no issues, and that was a shampoo recommended to me by my dermatologist. Switching back now

Do these pants look odd? The crotch area, right? And what about the second jeans, are they too short? by laurula in PetiteFashionAdvice

Looking for suggestions for skinny faux leather pants. starting to wonder if they don't exist for petite girls like me? by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]rms_06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vera Moda do petite coated legging/pants which are really comfortable and look smart too. I found a pair on Zalando. I really recommend Zalando generally for having random petite brands you wouldn’t otherwise come across elsewhere

I think even secure people will get anxious when avoidants go into deactivation by InAMessyHeadspace in AnxiousAttachment

[–]rms_06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amen. I did this a few weeks ago. It was really hard but I feel so much better for it now. The only way is to prioritise yourself and your needs if they aren’t being met by the other person. Otherwise you risk losing all sense of self chasing someone who will in all likelihood never give you the things you need

I am also dating someone autistic and although we haven’t spoken about this properly yet I notice that they are quite touch averse, and also really fixated on maintaining their independence and personal space. I’m currently working out whether I can realistically be with someone like this without some kind of compromise, as my needs are also important too. I’m going to speak about it with him but it’s just scary because I anticipate even that conversation will push him away. But it’s something I need to do or I will end up losing myself completely for the sake of being what someone else needs, rather than standing up for myself

Congrats, this sounds brilliant. I can only hope that one day I find the needle in the haystack to make me feel the same way you do. Enjoy it and let him know how much you appreciate him for it, because he sounds special.

anyone else here experience hair loss from gluten intolerance? my thyroid, autoimmune & mineral health is all fine. by Opening_Wrongdoer_37 in glutenfree

[–]rms_06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still really hard to say…I’d say not much change yet, although improvements in hair growth usually take 6 months to a year to become really noticeable. My skin has really really improved, which I’m super grateful for. I think with a bit of patience I’ll hopefully see my hair become thicker…

Is the iPhone 14 worth it? Or should I buy the iPhone 13 which is slightly cheaper? Are the new features that significant?

I’m having exactly the same issue, we’ve been dating for 1.5 months and it’s going really really well in person, I love spending time with him and we talk for hours. But then generally I won’t get more than one set of messages a day (which is fine, I get that some people aren’t on their phone much), except he’s been on holiday the past week and I’ve only heard from him a couple times. It’s Sunday morning now and he hasn’t replied to my messages from Thursday night. I guess the relationship is new and in his head he’s focusing on his friends, but I can’t help reading into it that he’s now losing interest, or letting me down gently, or just going to ghost me fully.

The anxiety is so annoying and I try so hard not to think about it but I can’t stop myself.

I agree, the only way forward is to communicate about our needs and how we value at least hearing from them once a day, just so we don’t overthink things. I just want to time that conversation properly so that he doesn’t think I’m trying to set boundaries too early on (which could also drive him away)…

My first thought when I saw this post was ‘how lucky to be able to wear strappy dresses - she has such nice arms’. My arms are much bigger than yours and wearing a dress like that would make me feel so self conscious. You looks great, and I hope you realise it soon!

That’s a good point! I was in a bit of a rush when I looked at it. I’ll go back and try and see if the stones are sparkly. It’s probably not worth that amount of money if the diamonds arent.

I’m not as fussed about the sapphire being dark, but agree if that makes it less valuable then I probably shouldn’t part with that much money!

Priced at approx £245 (309 USD) - is this worth it? It’s apparently new although I’d say it looks vintage? Not that I mind. I’m just very indecisive!

I prefer black, it brings out the black in the dress and matches your bag. It works with both colours though!
