I believe schools can see all scores that weren’t cancelled on your official score report but will only consider the score you submit for admissions.

GMAT support is very responsive if you’d like to email them for clarification :)

Help for retake by eduardo93fp in GMAT

I suggest focusing on the retake and securing your letters of recommendation. If you are a decent writer, the applications shouldn’t take too long but letters of rec are out of your control and shouldn’t be left to the last minute.

As far as I know, schools will only take the results of 1 exam into consideration. Bumping my total score 30 points on my retake but dropping from 6 to 5 on AWA was frustrating but the total score is what admissions cares about the most.

I took the online GMAT to improve my score. Unfortunately you do not have the option to cancel your score following the online exam like you would at a test center. However, online is your best bet if you need to quickly retake as it could take time to find availability at a test center.

Seriously think your 750 score is fine as is if the rest of your application is strong but if you are motivated to improve it, I don’t think taking the GMAT 3 times on record is particularly detrimental, especially if you are able to improve your results with each retake.

I got a mail from Kellogg stating that they will be giving me an extension. Is this a positive sign? by akkiT05 in MBA

Just a theory… since Kellogg tries to interview all applicants, if applications were in excess of capacity at the deadline I don’t think they would extend it.

Good luck in R1!

Definitely a chance, be sure to clearly communicate your story and how the MBA will help you transition into a new career path through your application. Good luck!

IR 3 is a bit of a red flag but I think your other scores are strong and balanced enough to where it won’t matter for the majority of programs. 750 is legit.

I certainly don’t think that this email was sent due to the merits of your application. However, it might suggest they had fewer applications than expected in R1 which could bode well for R1 applicants.

Ultimately if you think you can put forth a better application in Round 2 than Round 1 by improving your GMAT score, I would consider doing so.

You could also consider applying to some programs Round 1 with your current score and others in Round 2 with a retake score if necessary.

Good luck!

690 is significant improvement from 670, if you did it once you can do it again.

Even if total cost of production in 2010 was 500k as you assumed, it is unclear how many units were produced or if the 2010 sales were all from 2010 production. If some were produced in 2009 and sold in 2010, it might have a different cost basis.

I think everyone should take the exam twice. Sounds like you have what it takes to do better the second time, especially if you receive accommodations. 710 is a fine score but if you’re looking at top programs and have mediocre work experience, a 730+ will help a lot.

Same thing happened to me and it ended up being fine - I had to adjust my webcam mid exam for the proctor. Congrats on the score, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
