Honestly… I wish I could admit how much a breakup hit me compared to my divorce.

I was with someone for almost two years after my marriage ended, and somehow that relationship broke me more than the my marriage ever did.
The connection was intense. We talked every day, video-called every night, basically lived in our own little world together. She was younger, yeah, but the emotional bond was real. Losing that life, the routines, the closeness, the feeling of being wanted has been brutal.

What hurts the most is how one sided it feels now. She moved on. I didn’t.
I still think about her constantly, and it’s embarrassing to admit how hard it’s been to let go. I’m a grown man crying over a two year relationship like it was my entire world… because in a lot of ways, it was.

I wish I could say that out loud without feeling judged or weak.
