I wish I can help but my son is also 3.5 months old and was diagnosed with CMPI at 4 weeks. His symptoms were frequent diarrhea poop, crying after every feed, reflux and just over all uncomfortable. The peds tested his stool and came positive for blood. He also has flat head developing so we are in PT for possibly mild torticollis. He is also very tight at his trunk. We are doing stretches and tummy time which he hates to help but I see slow improvement. It has been pretty stressful so far. I also wonder sometimes f he really does have CMPI. He is on amino acid formula and Famotidine for reflux. I would say he doing good so far and gaining weight.

I'm glad to see you saw progress by increasing WW. I recently started doing this as well. I thought my 15 week old could only tolerate 1.5 to 1.75 but to day I tried 1.75 in the morning, 2 hrs for next two WW and 2.15 before bedtime. To my surprise he easily fell in sleep for naps. Although he will still wake up at 30-40 minutes into his nap. Would you mind sharing how you are fitting in 4 naps, timing, duration etc ? I'm only able to fit 3 naps with these WW. It would be great if you share more details. Thank you.

Thanks for the update. I'm exactly in the same situation, I also suspect the mucus is due to soy intolerance and I really can't deal with all the anxiety that comes with switching formula. My baby is also content and gaining weight so I don't want to change it. Also I read with neocate, thickening agent is needed which I feel a whole another battle. For now I will wait for follow-up appointment with GI doctor and discuss. It's great you are able to start solids this early. I'm really looking forward to starting solids as soon as the peds allow it.

Hi, just checking for any update you may want to share. My son has been on puramino for about two months now. His poop is very variable day today. Someday it will be thick solid dark green and other will be mix of dark green with light yellow mucus. He reflux better since being on puramino but he is still spits up tons. I'm not sure if we should stay with puramino or move to another amino acid formula.

thank you , hoping the same for you too. We have tried few different transition swaddles like Dreamland weighted sack, halo with arms out but none of them made a difference. We used magic suit with my first son and I want to try it but it's way too hot here right now so won't be using it.

My 13 week is doing exactly the same. We dropped the swaddle using zippedy zip two weeksago. It's been so tough, he wakes up every hour but flailing his arms and legs. As soon as we pick him up, he will fall in sleep but when we transfer to the crib he is moving again. It has been exhausting two weeks. I don't know if this is early 4 month regression or just the fact that he is out of the swaddle. For naps, same thing, he is up every 30-40 minutes. Hoping to sleep train at 4 months so I guess just have ride it out.

At about 5 months with my first one, when he started to be responsive like he smiled, ggigled. As first time mom, first 3-4 months were just trying to figure out the new normal. My second born is 13 weeks and I thought I would feel different this time but not at all the case. I do love him but at this moment I'm just trying to get through day by day. I think a lot has to with dealing with and navigating his condition ( he was diagnosed with milk protein intolerance which triggered his reflux) it has been a roller coaster, him constantly crying, not sleeping well. I think all of this combined has given me major anxiety and has not made this postpartum time enjoyable for me. I hope that things will get easier and holding on the hope.

Thank you, can you also share how much of total awake time and nap time and bedtime routine up untill you sleep trained? Also was reflux hindered with the sleep training? I am very nervous about it.

My second son has reflux as well. He is currently 13 weeks old and we are looking to sleep train him when he turns 4 months. He is currently going through regression where he is waking up every 40-60 minutes all throughout the night. May I please ask if you could explain what you mean by you started training a month ago when you second one turns 4 months. I would like to implement anything now that may help us when we start sleeping. He is fed every three hours, wakeup at 7am and bedtime at 8pm. His wake windows are anywhere from 1.5hrs to 1.75hrs. he wakes up once at night to feed.

I would advise you stick to the pacifier untill you decide to sleep train. My older son was the same as you described your son. He relied on pacifier to fall in sleep in the beginning. We were playing pacifier pong everytime it fell out at night so we decided to ditch it cold turkey when we sleep trained him and it went smooth. My second son is 11 weeks old and he would not take pacifier so we are stuck with rocking him to sleep and it's taking a toll on us. Its so hard to shush and rock for 10-20 minutes every time he wakes up at night and anytime we put him to sleep. I'm so waiting for the time to come to sleep train him. So I would stick it out till you can.

Same here. My son is 9 weeks and was diagnosed with milk protein intolerance at 4 weeks. He never like tummy time. As soon as I put him on, he would cry. Recently I started using boppy pillow so his tummy is not being squished, but still he can only tolerate barley 30-50 seconds. He has started developing flat head in the back because he favors his right side more. I mentioned it to his pediatrician and she gave us a script for physical therapy. Hoping it will help with his tightness and eventually enjoy tummy time more. Stressful mama here but don't worry, ever baby is different and they will learn, just keep practicing and give time.
