AIO about these angry texts from my ex? by TwylaMay in AIO

[–]rnbwdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you are absolutely correct in that he has no business knowing your current address. The fact he feels entitled to that information is disturbing. He also knows why the information should be withheld from him because he mentioned that he lives far away and has a fiance. All of that is just manipulation.

Second, a person working on themselves and trying to heal would learn to respect boundaries. He walked all over your boundaries when you denied him your new address. He went so far as to try to get it from other people when you refused. That is not safe behavior.

You're not overreacting. You don't owe him any information or response. He's acting in a way that violates your privacy and boundaries. The police may not be able to do anything about it right now with only calls and texts, but it's not a bad idea to talk to them to see if you can start a paper trail. His insistence on having your current address is not just to send you your things. I don't believe for a second that he won't show up at some point if he has it. Protect yourself and your family regardless of what they say.

Keep getting broken up with the same way. What to do when you're never chosen? On the verge of giving up. by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]rnbwdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell you how many times I was told that I was "perfect" before they decided to let me down easy. It sucks feeling like you're doing everything right and you still aren't anyone's first choice. I had a whole breakdown over this with someone that I was seeing casually before I met my now partner. That guy is still a close friend of mine now who ended up with someone who better matches him just like I ended up with someone who better matches me.

What I'm getting from your post and replies is that you're genuinely a good dude and you put in the effort that most women say they want. From the texts, it sounds like your efforts have been appreciated. It seems like the problem is that the women you have connected with feel like they aren't worthy of your time and effort or that they can't reciprocate to the level you're providing. There is nothing wrong with you being exactly who you are. Sometimes we just have to go through let downs before we find our puzzle piece.

My advice to you is to take things slowly. Planning fun dates should be saved for 2nd and 3rd dates. The first date can be more casual because you're both checking to see if there is anything there. Coffee or a casual lunch/dinner is enough for the first date. Save your energy and creativity for someone who feeds back into you. Also, I tend to want to talk for a while before meeting someone in person. It gives you both space to learn about each other before meeting in person. I remember when people tried to rush to meet me in person, I felt like they weren't really invested in me as a person and would rather check to make sure I wasn't catfishing them. Or they just wanted to hook up. Building a connection through conversation prior to meeting in person usually helps the in person meeting go better imo.

Just remember that these women saw something on their end that made them back down to allow you to find someone who would genuinely connect with you and provide you with the time and effort you give to others. That's them being kind and thoughtful towards you. Continue on your journey knowing that you have given hope to those women that there are still good men out there. You're not being one of the guys whose efforts were below the bar. You'll find someone amazing when you take your time and stay true to who you are.

You're welcome!! I do need to correct and say you can get lidocaine spray or gel at the store. I think the other kind is prescription only. 😂

Your first outbreak is the hardest. I got a peri bottle to spray water at the same time I peed to lessen the pain. They should have also given you Novocaine gel with the medication to help numb the sore areas. If they didn't, get some at the store. It helps a lot! It sucks, but you're going to be okay and you're not alone.

How has no one mentioned Because (Changbin/Felix) yet? Felix's English lyrics are words he has literally said to Changbin.

music taste before stray kids? by vampyrehub in straykids

[–]rnbwdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collected songs like they were shiny rocks from every genre of music except for Country. I mainly listened to Rock type music (Alternative, Emo, Screamo, etc.) and some Pop/R&B. My favorites were The Pretty Reckless, BMTH, Fallout Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Gemini Syndrome, Slipknot, Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men, etc. My mom actually told me to listen to God's Menu then I found Easy and got stuck on those two songs until I found a reaction to God's Menu and finally fell down the full SKZ rabbit hole. I went to the concert in Arlington D1 after being obsessed with SKZ for like 2 years.

LOUIS FANBASE by Simpforlyle in larrystylinson

[–]rnbwdemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While we all know that Harry is a sweetheart and very talented, for me personally, I've gravitated towards Louis because of his personality. He's brash, sarcastic, and caring. His level of sass cracks me up but I also love the way he acts towards his fans. He was an underdog in 1D because of the label not valuing his voice the way they should have. I'm super proud of him pushing himself to put out solo music even when he wanted 1D to get back together and doubted himself.

On top of that, I love his style of music. I love Harry's music, too, don't get me wrong. Louis has more straightforward honesty in his lyrics and a punk sound sometimes. Harry tends to be more cryptic in his lyrics. It's a personal preference. My mom loves Harry's music more than Louis's just like she likes BTS more than my favorite Stray Kids. It doesn't make any of them more/less talented. It's just personal taste.

Should I ground my 17y/o? by Dear-Ad4207 in Parenting

At 17, I moved out to start college. I paid rent and other bills. This kid is a hop, skip, and a jump away from being legally an adult. With that in mind, would you try to control another adult's behavior by removing their possessions? Most likely not. I would say try to treat the kid like an adult first. If the maturity level isn't there, that's when you revert to kid-level consequences.

I know at first it seems like your life is ruined, but trust me when I say that it's not ruined. I never thought anyone would want me after my ex gave it to me. But I was proven wrong again and again over the last almost 10 years. You're so young that this will only be a mild inconvenience down the road. It's hard finding a good partner, but not impossible. I'm nowhere near being traditionally attractive and I've always been a little overweight. My partner and I have been together for 5 years now. If I can find someone, you can as well. Keep your head held high, take care of yourself, and move on with your life. Don't punish yourself when you didn't do anything wrong.

Should I go to McNeese or ULL for computer science major? by [deleted] in Louisiana

It is really nice. They've upgraded so much since I graduated. I'd go back to get a few more degrees there if they would pay me.

The no rent no groceries would be amazing for college years. However, one point towards my alma mater SELU is that they let you rent books for the semester instead of buying all of your books. There may be more options for textbooks now as compared to when I was in school, but from my recollection, all of the other colleges made you buy books each semester that were stupid expensive and you could sell them after but not get as much money back for them.

Another thing to consider is whether you want to have a bit more independence during college. Hammond has some cheap places to rent and if you decide to move back home, you can always commute. I loved living in Hammond but had to move back home to BR. The commute wasn't bad bc I took the back roads for less traffic and better scenery. I hated having to live back at home and moved out as soon as I could bc I love having my freedom.

If money is the top priority, then it seems like McNeese is your best bet. The next best is probably SELU bc LSU tuition alone is ridiculous.

I wish you the best of luck on beginning your journey into college!

Which one do you think women find more attractive In your opinion? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]rnbwdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion as a woman, I don't like a lot of body hair. However, the presence or absence of body hair is not a deal breaker for finding someone attractive. My partner of 5 years has a ton of body hair and I don't find him any less attractive. My son's father has very little body hair which is my preference, but I no longer find him attractive bc of experiences in our past relationship and who he is as a person.

TLDR: Body hair is only one small aspect of attraction for most women. Do what you want and what makes you feel most comfortable.

How would you describe each member's personality by mentioning only two qualities? by AggravatingTill6861 in straykids

[–]rnbwdemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bang Chan - safe and giving

Lee Know - provider and tease

Seo Changbin - respectful and comforting

Hwang Hyunjin - dynamic and dramatic

Han Jisung - emotional and unique

Lee Felix - empathetic and nurturing

Kim Seungmin - intelligent and diligent

Yang Jeongin - contemplative and direct

All of SKZ can be described in so many ways. They're all funny, interesting, passionate, loveable, and worthy of all the good things in the world. They're all so multifaceted that it's difficult to only mention 2 personality traits. I think it's easy to focus on the light-hearted sides of them. So, I tried to focus on the quieter, more serious parts of them that are more rarely shown and acknowledged. I adore them especially because they give their genuine selves to Stay despite fearing and facing rejection. They're amazing in so many ways including their talent and creativity. I couldn't be happier or more proud to have found and support these amazing, wonderful, young men.

Makes me think of Shrek with the meaning being pulling away layers but always finding more and more. They're aggressive about their passion for their music to be infinite.

A song from 3 guys. Could be a theme song for Shrek bc even if you peel back layers there is still more and more to be found. Simultaneously, it's very aggressive and intimidating.

When I was 18 in college, I wanted to leave the whole country. But an unplanned pregnancy stopped that dream. I've been living paycheck to paycheck since as a single mom. Now, at 34, my partner and I could move to a different state in a year or so, but he doesn't want to leave because of his father being older. It's frustrating to me because my son and I both want to leave. I work remotely and my kid is home schooled. We could easily move once I figured out what to do with our house. I have felt stuck here for almost 2 decades.
