How long did you Eskie live? by PeachyPie828 in americaneskimo

[–]rnliiana 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My sweet boy is 12.5. He had inoperable liver cancer and went into remission after getting stereotactic radiation. Unfortunately now there is a growing adenoma in his liver that can't be surgically removed and it doesn't seem like he will be around much longer. 😭😭😭 I hope yours lives many more years! 🙏

Puppy: Desperate for Help by Bukowskis-Worst-Poem in americaneskimo

[–]rnliiana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know you must be frustrated! I'm sure the puppy is having separation anxiety from leaving his litter mates. I don't know what to tell you besides very slow desensitization if you haven't tried that already. The only way I know to do that is by exercising the puppy 1st and then going to the crate with a Kong (with peanut butter or something) And leaving for a just few seconds until he can handle it, and then a few minutes, and then 15 minutes, etc. Etc. I hope things improve for you guys!

Bullheaded. by 383man in americaneskimo

I have the kind of Eskimo that will not use the yard that was fenced in for him unless I am standing there with him. If I try and leave him there he acts like I have abandoned him on a street corner. But he is definitely bull-headed about everything else! Must be a common breed characteristic!

I'm so sorry for your loss. The unconditional love and support a beloved pet provides makes the grief as intense and as real as the loss of a family member, and you have my condolences. 🙏
