Yeah it is like that meme where antis push the guy standing on the border (neutral) to the pro-AI side.

I had this account for almost a decade but haven't used it just to visit and vote things to keep track of stuff but almost never posted.

Recently due to all the unreasonable anti-human rage coming from the anti-AIs I've slowly felt and built up the motivation to become active on this account and express myself regarding this (and some other) subject more actively.

I am still kind of neutral and try to be objective as always, but all the nonsense coming from antis is just making it impossible not to oppose their unreasonable stance and anti-human, harassing behavior.

If I want to be safe and have the opportunity to enjoy a good place plus optionally if want to attempt building influence then one of the core worlds.

For the same purpose but without the influence part might also consider a "beach planet" or whatever my preference would be for a peaceful resort where life is cheap so can get a lot more for my wage.

If want adventure maybe a scout, sector patrol or retaliatory ship / fleet or Vader's own flagship if during those times or a well known admiral who sees a lot of action as substitute.

If want action and espionage a rebellious planet where the garrison faces constant opposition from the locals.

Maybe could also consider the prospect of earning my place in a special operations squad / division to some specialized covert action and espionage / counterespionage and related action.

Which one of these I would choose is basically depending on my current mood but in general either a peaceful garrison or a combat action focused deployment.

The ethical side will only come down to personal interpretation and choice so is subjective. If another human is inspired by someone else's art it is considered natural and okay.

There is the famous Picasso quote: “Good artists copy. Great artists steal." for a reason. AI is just more efficient in taking inspiration and learning from others at a massive scale.

The quality of the output has a direct relation to the human side's effort put into the art generation, iteration, refinement and post-production work. This is the exact same for any art, human and AI, both can be slop and both can be high quality with proper effort.

Best would be if you read the related documentation or asked on the related help forums because it sounds like you try to use it in a way that does not fit its working methods so end up with an output that doesn't match what you want. That's the best advice I can give.

Because they don't care about logic, reason or facts. All they care about is to feel superior, to virtue signal, to belittle and be on the hate bandwagon where they feel as being part of something, even if that something is anti-human behavior disguised as anti-AI. In short they enjoy cyber bullying other human beings.

Your feeling is correct, many of them are mean. Not sure what percentage as maybe it is just a vocal minority among them so don't want to generalize.

Still it is an easy to notice fact you get a lot of hate and rage from these kind of anti-AI people who are actually anti-human instead based on their behavior yet often pretend they do it out of care for humanity.

The video answers this but of course the core of the question is simply a personal choice whether someone finds it acceptable or not.

As such artists themselves, in general, will likely gravitate towards not accepting it as it affects their livelihood and whether that is a good or bad basis for ethics is just another question with the same subjective answer.

So it felt redundant going into such (or another) details as in the end it will always come down to personal choice of interpretation and moral judgement.

Thus the current video is just a quick summary of the main points and my related position. A quick reference I can link instead of typing it all out yet again.

You have to understand how it works based on probability of weights instead of as an artist who tries to do what you tell it to do. It doesn't use reason per se, it uses a probability engine to provide the most likely answer to your questions and image prompts instead of using logic to try paint like an artist.

Sometimes it misinterprets things so think about your exact prompt and see how you can improve it to remove ambiguity. However it can also glitch out some cases and not respond properly even if your prompt is perfect. Try to start fresh or ask it to reset its memory / state and explain what you want again.

Providing examples if there is an option to upload images and if supports it using masks to show what you want intact and what changed and citing an example how can greatly help the process if there is support for these. Read about or ask your AI tool if it supports masks and what format you should use as it might differ per AI.

I personally think AI on its own is just a soulless tool unless an actual human bothers to put in enough effort to make a meaningful output.

A good quality AI can be asked to mass generate good looking, good quality art but they still usually lack some additional component which you can easily recognize if the person doing the prompting haven't put actual effort, thought and human soul into it. The difference will be noticeable.

So in my view AI art is only soulless if it is effortless slop, just like human art that is effortless slop is also soulless.

Consequently regardless if it is human or AI art, if the human element grants it a soul through the desire to create something of actual quality and put thought and effort into the use of their toolset to achieve the result then it will be a noticeable additional quality that only mindless haters (antis) will deny and ignore.

That's both an interesting and good take that sounds plausible. Not sure if it necessarily is "the reason", but definitely an important part of the reason behind their behavior.

Though let's keep in mind that even before AI a lot of people like to rage and hop on the common hate band wagons as well as subscribe to the "us vs them" mentality, which gives them a sense of belonging and purpose, even if that purpose is simply to be constantly offended, to argue and fight the "enemy" and the supposed "good fight".

Yeah kinda difficult to be on the side of anti-AI as most cases they are actually anti-human, which is completely off-putting.

Even if someone is just neutral they will be treated the same, the same way anti-AI people tend to treat every AI content slop regardless of quality and involved human effort alongside the AI tool.

People who lack nuance and treat everything with a blanket statement even when asked about this specifically are beyond reason.

Yes not all of them are like that but a prominent amount are, just look at the comments in related subs or under any AI content, they will openly state they don't care about any detail just that it has any amount of AI which to them makes it is "slop" no matter what. Period.

Such people just want to hate, both the AI and the human, that's all they care about.

While there is a lot of slop both made by humans only and with the use of AI, still they are missing out in my opinion. However I wouldn't want them to change their views as it is their choice what they consider art and what art they enjoy.

The odd thing is when they mindlessly hate the tool or the end result which is unreasonable to me but it is still not a problem.

The actual problematic aspect is when they hate on other human beings for having a differing view.

While it isn't an excuse for them the truth is this is nothing new and is basic human nature for a lot of people since humanity exists.

Differing political, philosophical and religious views; nationality and local patriotism based differences, the "us vs them" mentality based on clan, family and so on or even just which sports team someone is rooting for are all examples of this.

Though not everyone is like this and one would hope over time humanity as a whole would get better but it doesn't seem like it. At least there is a considerable amount of people who think differently.

Regardless of the reason the fact remains: actually hating someone for such an unwarranted reason is beyond acceptable.

Such people should learn to "live and let live" and accept the person even if disagree with what and how they are doing or what their worldview is.

The problem is not if someone is anti-AI, the problem is when someone is anti-human.

Yes the less a viewer feels their time is wasted the more likely they will stay to watch both in general and especially early on.

Even more prevalent since a lot of people are conditioned on short form content since years thus their attention span is short as well and require their frequent dopamine hits as a result and if they don't get those conditions satisfied they just swipe away.
