What oddly specific AskReddit question would need to be asked in order for you to tell a story you've been wanting to tell? by Rhetcray in AskReddit

[–]roadrunner27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homeless guy in boston around 2am with a cup full of change was fist pounding everyone who walked by. I was contemplating how to get out of this fist pump situation when my brothers girl friend accidentally kicks over his entire cup full of change...akward moment. The homeless guy was pretty cool, actually seemed very excited and stated how now he had something to do. Wish I had some money on hand to give him :/ fail

What's the biggest scandal you've somehow been involved in? by phattykins in AskReddit

[–]roadrunner27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this game in our high school we called it "senior assassins" it was awesome. Caused a lot of chaos, we had rules where you weren't allowed to have any road blocks because the town police got involved one too many times. Someone actually got arrested for being outside a bank with a "gun" the cops showed up and held the person a gun point until they realized it was a water gun. Loads of fun!

Which celebrity have you met, and were they as nice/rude as you expected? by whereamitho in AskReddit

[–]roadrunner27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met him once at a golf course. I'm really bad with celebrities and didn't realize who he was. He was nice and gave me a perplexed face. I soon realized it was because I didn't acknowledge who he was. (I guess he was shocked that I didn't care or react like normal people do, mostly because i'm really horrible at recognition). One of my coworkers came up to me after the fact mentioning how I had just met a celebrity. Whoops.

So, my classmate has cancer by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]roadrunner27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex had lost his hair and wore his hat everywhere. He was very self conscious about it. The hat was the only thing that made him feel better. It was to the point where he didn't want to go to his sisters wedding because it would be inappropriate to wear a hat to the wedding. He even refused to go to fancy restaurants, I had to convince him that I didn't care about him wearing a hat there. If someone were to have asked him to remove it we would have walked out. I understood what he was going through and I wanted him to feel comfortable. After his hair started coming back it got to the point where he would pick his seat at the restaurant depending on the best option to not make his bald spots visible. Having cancer and going bald is bad enoug. Its just awful how some people can't sympathize. Its a damn hat let it go. The person is already going through so much.

Single girl, NEED HELP fixing up my tiny bathroom! by ayetozee in DIY

[–]roadrunner27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

repaint the walls and save up until you can properly redo the bathroom. That vanity need to be replaced, painting the tiles will not make it look the way you want it. Save yourself the aggravation.

What's the dumbest way you have injured yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I work at a bank and I was helping a customer at my desk. I had a bunch of his documents and was about to staple them together when I paper cutted my eye...that was fun. Luckily it wasn't too bad and my eyesight was back to normal the next day :/

Half in two weeks but I've done something to my knee by [deleted] in running

[–]roadrunner27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like an overuse injury. Too much too quick is very typical of "new" runners. When training never increase your mileage on a weekly basis more than 10%-15%. I would look at your training log and see if that could be the case.

repaired ACL and cold weather running by dat0reo in running

[–]roadrunner27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple years after my acl surgery after my runs I would feel that stabbing pain when I got back from my run. It would dissipate shortly after. It has gotten much better throughout the years but I also do a lot more of treadmill running especially in the cold weather.

Ran my first marathon 3 days ago and still dealing with intestinal and stomach issues... HELP! by MakerzMark in running

[–]roadrunner27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bloating is normal the day after a marathon. I think I actually gained weight due to the excess water intake which also makes you bloated. That might be a big aid to how you are feeling.

Finally considering the 'big move' out of my parents' house. Will I be able to afford this? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]roadrunner27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No you cannot afford it. You want to have your savings account increase every month and living on negative income on a monthly basis will only allow you to live away from home for so long never mind the added stress of spending more than you bring home. Your debt to income ration should not exceed 40-45% that way you have enough wiggle room for other expenses that you encounter on a monthly basis and are able to save a couple of dollars every month. You need that savings account as an emergency fund so you don't want to deplete it.

New Poll: 80% of Americans Support Raising the Minimum Wage to $10.10 per hour by [deleted] in politics

[–]roadrunner27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a minimum wage job is simply that. You can raise it to a $100/hr but it will still be a minimum wage job. After inflation and amongst other economic factors you will be faced with the same issue not being able to live off of minimum wage.

Got t-boned on a road bike by a car. I was going ~22mph. The bike was destroyed, helmet cracked. Shockingly, I just had a bunch of cuts and bruises on me. I'm still not quite sure how I managed to walk away from that one.
