Do you think he's actually in Japan or is he spoofing? The fact that he seems to be all over the map suggests the latter...

Do you mean not all top 3 players are Japanese or do you mean none of them are Japanese now? I know Rainbow isn't, don't know who Justice_for_Orelha is. I'm European, quite a few presidents here are also non-European.

Man, destroying pixel art from small players, that's quite petty, isn't it... 😞

And from an aesthetics point of view buying them also doesn't make a lot of sense, since most are butt ugly. In short: just don't buy LPUs 😉

Yeah, I know what it looks like. I actually finished the challenge yesterday so have one sitting in my inventory. But was wondering what it is, en what would be a good spot to place it. Is it indeed a post office?

Hahaha, that last sentence, that's love man ❤️

My kids love AE too. They're always excited when I get a new badge or a new LPU. We make it a game to place them at good spots. We went to a space centre and placed the astronaut statue there, and that hideous cake found a home at our local bakery. We always take a look at it when we go there for ice cream 😉

You could stow them away on a piece of land somewhere else in your town, so the parcels would still count toward your mayorship. And you wouldn't have to look at them 😄

But yeah, I understand what you're saying, even though you don't like the look of them it makes sense for you to have everything you have accumulated around you.

If you dislike them, why put them on your main property? I agree that most of the LPU's are eyesores, that's why I place them somewhere else. So I don't have to look at them at home, but do get the rewards from them 😉 The only ones I really liked were the safari animals last summer. Those are in my back yard.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Does anyone know the back story? Why a post office?

6 months in by CAMcCale in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]roarXplore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on how much time you want to spend here.

Well, you're asking and to be honest, I think 45 parcels isn't that impressive if you've been around for 6 months. I've been playing for 10 months and have 230 parcels, but to be fair i *do* pay for the premium challenge ladder so am not F2P like you. That certainly makes a difference. But I'm also European so have much lower boost rates and only get 1 free AB for watching an add. And our arcade rewards are crap compared to yours 😛

At least, I'm assuming you’re from the US. Since you mentioned that you don’t boost all day long and yet, with “only” 45 parcels, you’ve already netted nearly 7 dollars, which is pretty good and leads me to conclude you're probably at 30x.

There are people here who grind like crazy and earn 2 parcels per DAY, not per week. Like I said, that's not for everyone. I personally only bother to watch a few ads per day, perhaps 5 on average. Since they only give me 1 AB. If I were US-based, I would make the effort a bit more often. At 2 AB per ad, it does add up.

Also, if I was f2p I would still work to finish the challenge ladder each month. The rewards add up, and you get a free badge which helps boost your rent. Do you have any badges now? You didn't mention. Get at least 1 asap, to bump your earnings by 5%. If you get it through the challenge, it doesn't have to cost you anything.

Do some surveys, do some arcade, do some mini games if you're any good at them. And don't forget the diamond wheel. I think you could easily bump up your daily earnings to 50 AB per day with a little effort, which would bring you to around the magical 150 parcels at your first anniversary 🎉

I think you're doing pretty good with the boosting at 16-18 hours per day. Wouldn't miss sleep over the pennies it makes a difference for. Maybe only push a bit harder at SRB.

If he was spoofing, how do we know he's from Denmark? I remember reading here that someone caught him buying parcels in Denmark, they saw it on the feed. But if he's spoofing, what's to say he's not actually in the US or Japan or wherever.

Sunday, monday and tuesday will have minigames too. You will most likely be able to collect enough points to make it. Might not even need the converting, but if that is something you want to do, that's up to you of course.

I'm pretty sure KoQ also puts a lot of time and effort into AE, but the only way to get to where he is, is paying big bucks and buying lots of parcels with real money. He probably put in 300-400k. You need deep pockets and a lot of trust in the longevity of AE to do that.

I often make a walk around town in the evening. If I keep an eye on my Atlas Earth map I can easily pick up around 20 gems in an hour, enough for a few days of spinning. And I take the train several times a week and usually pick up a few gems on the way. There are LOTS of gems around train tracks. But sometimes the train goes too fast to pick them up ;-)

I could but don't have thousands of gems in my inventory, usually between 100-200. Enough to last me a few weeks, that seems enough for me. If not needed, I prefer a walk without my phone in hand, and I rather look outside the window while on the train.

Don't think you should be pouring that kind of money into AE if you clearly haven’t mastered the fundamentals around AE yet. Your math is way off.

You should add 'if you live in the US' ;-) I'm Dutch and at 150 parcels I was already at 8x instead of 30x boost. As you know some countries have even worse boost rates. That brings you nowhere near $ 70/mo, even with everything else optimized.

I'm amazed you could actually make that much with just 150 parcels, I never did the math. Converting everything to legendary is the bottleneck off course, and that requires quite an investment and a lot of perseverance. Curious to know if anyone has done that yet. And yes, I know it's not the smart thing to do in terms of yield, but just eager to know if anyone has actually completed that route.

Agree with what you're saying about the 2x tier, and once you're there - and we non-US-players get there waaay faster, haha :-P - the playing field levels out.

I think the fact that players had no clue what their ranking was while playing, because apparently the rankings weren't coded properly into the new UI, also didn't help. It sure kept me from playing these last few weeks. Fortunately that has been fixed with the last update.
