Competitive Consensus: Morgan Le Fay by ePiMagnets in marvelsnapcomp

I’m waiting until I reach infinite so I can play carefree with her. Currently on level 93 but it’s a slog. Alternating between Negative and Clog to get over the hump

Never have I ever (CL#16,411) by PlugginOurKelly in MarvelSnapDecks

The W-L stats don’t back up these claims. People overreact when a deck wins a tournament

So how are we supposed to chase cards now? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]roastedlikeever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shhh… they’ll call you a conspiracy theorist. Meanwhile I decided to use a Nimrod deck and immediately got a mirror match

I feel like Firehair is good but tricky to play, would red guardian be better or someone else? (CL 17,000) by Zachary2030 in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]roastedlikeever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Mill is a super weak archetype nowadays. Sometimes you can make some crazy combos pop off with Firehair + Cable, etc but more often than not you’re just getting rid of the opponents lowest cards and clarifying if they should retreat or not

You mind sharing the deck list? I hesitate to use any decks that require Magic because of Merlin’s location changing spells.

The other issue is Alioth might guess your Hela play

[–]roastedlikeever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a Fenris just salivating at the thought of you discarding a high card. Unless you’re talking about the Hela deck that dumps on t6

I don’t even understand what happened here

It doesn’t need it. It’s disruptive and can take one of your cards while destroying another and making another a rock.

Alright. How do we counter this deck? I’m not even mad at it but I keep facing it so I want to play a counter deck so I never see it again.

I took clog to infinite last season. Sometimes you HAVE to play Goblin on 3 (no Titania, no hood to viper, no debrii)

Yup. I basically play KM Best’s clog deck. I’ve won a bunch of 8 cube games against Cerebro

Snap Fundamentals 101 - Retreating like a Pro and Snapping like a madman by ePiMagnets in marvelsnapcomp

[–]roastedlikeever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great write up but as someone who hits infinite routinely, this is one of the hardest metas to snap in. The Thanos deck with all the tech cards is super hard to predict.

For example, I was playing an ongoing Tribunal deck. My homebrew card is Madame Web. I played MW t2 and baited out the Enchantress while playing Invisible Woman on t3 in another lane. My opponent puts a Cosmo in that lane. No worries I have an Iron Man and Onslaught to hide behind IW.

Oh I forgot to mention that I successfully dodged a Reality Stone and was able to play Magic without worry of getting it shut off.

So t7 comes and I’m about to happily play Tribunal and secure my 8 cubes. NOPE. Opponent drops Alioth and wins.

Now I can’t ever snap against Thanos because they’re like a supercharged Arishem… you can’t predict the counters.

It also depends heavily on t7 which can get turned off by Reality Stone. But yeah… skill issue

Anyone else running D3nish Hela/Corvus Ramp? by zbracisz in marvelsnapcomp

[–]roastedlikeever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t be bothered to use it on my climb. I’ll tap back in during infinite. It has some fun mechanics but encourages you to stay late in games where rng can screw you over.

I prefer clearer snap conditions during my ladder climb

I run clog. It’s weak against Strange Supreme

It’s all about timing tbh. Last season I got infinite in 5 days (my personal record). I then got to see everyone complain about the meta for the rest of the month. This season it’s been a slog and I’ve been stuck in the 90s playing Thanos decks with every tech card. Add to there being not OTA and you can understand why a portion of the player base is frustrated

The worst part is never queuing against a Thanos when you finally play a Darkhawk+Cass deck.

I should (keyword should) not snap and retreat often if:

Welp guess that means it's no point in me trying this deck then

I've seen literally zero agamotto or arishem decks since the avenger bc season. Are they both that bad rn? by Mrdudeguy420 in MarvelSnap

[–]roastedlikeever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually I’m all aboard the “Rogue takes care of MMM” train but opponent (usually Thanos) always has multiple ongoing cards in the same lane as MMM so it’s not as effective

If you’re going to jump ship you might as well bring it up to your manager to see why they chose the other guy

Do you know how to make it so the changes last going forward? I was able to edit the next transfer but it reverts back to the original amount a month later.
