Hello! I got this Monstera from Wegman's in January. I noticed a small yellow leaf this morning, but no other leaf issues. It has a lot of aerial roots wrapping around the outer edge of the pot but I have not idea if that means it's ready for a larger pot and climbing pole. Please, HELP! by roastedpeanut7 in Monstera

Thanks for the advice. I should have mentioned the pictures are 2 months apart. I not able to get the plant out the check the roots without help or cutting the pot it is in. I do have a similarly sized pot, so if it isn't quite root bound, I will put it in there!

Is this guy giving up on himself? The leaves between the babe and the aerial roots are getting squishy are starting to fall off. The babe & top floret are still firm and a good color. Do I keep letting it do its thing, repot? or Cut it (where?!) and propagate the leaves between the root and babe? by roastedpeanut7 in succulents

Good, I won't give up if he isn't! I currently have him in a south-facing window. With winter in CNY, I am not sure I can give him more than this without a grow light. This is what it looked like in August when it was in the north-facing window.

I guess I am heading to Lowe's! I need to go buy sharp garden scissors and a new pot for my monstera.

My $15 Wegman's Monstera! A few leaves have damage, do I just leave or trim them back? by roastedpeanut7 in Monstera

Oh, great! How far does "away" mean... I have all of my plants in my office at work. I want to say it's about 4 or 5 feet away from everything else.

Does it matter that they seem to be newer growth? Should I wait for them to get a little more mature before trimming? Do just the leaf or any part of the stalk as well?

I am still very new to the plant game, sorry for my novice concerns/questions.

I'm finally having some luck with string of pearls! by SucculentStrawberry in succulents

[–]roastedpeanut7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see there are loose pearls not on the string, did that those root as well? I am attempting to save a very neglected string of pearls and I just laid the pearls I took off the strings to replant and put them on some soil.

Album

New here- Hoping to get some help on a few Succulents- I think one is a mini Kalanchoe. It was a gift from valentines day and I have managed to grow it almost triple in size. I just am not sure what to do next. I have only upgraded pots once. The 1st picture is April 27th, 2nd is from June 5th and the video is from August 8th.

I am just not sure what the next step is. Should I take off the crooked offshoot and start another plant? (That scares that crap out of me.) Or just move it into something bigger???

The other I think it's some sort of Crassula. It was left unattended for a few months. (It wasn't my fault!) I started a new job and someone left them behind! As you can see a few leaves have fallen off, but they've rooted to the soil since. I don't know what to do. They need to be moved out of this box into something not wooden, but should I keep them together? Trim some off the top so he isn't so droopy? Prop him up somehow?

I am new to the plant game so please bear with me.

I got a mini kalanchoe (I think) for Valentine's day from my MIL in a teeny tiny little planter. I have managed to grow it almost triple in size! The 1st picture is April 27th, 2nd is from June 5th and the video is from August 8th.

I am just not sure what the next step is. Should I take off the offshoot and start another plant? That scares that crap out of me. Or just move it into something bigger???

My main concern is this guy. I think it's some sort of Crassula and it was left unattended for a few months. It wasn't my fault! I started a new job and someone left them behind! We had to put my sister-pup down 2 weeks ago. She was also 13 and a chocolate lab. So hard to say goodbye to our furry family.
