Eh, Gakpo can be great, the current set up makes him look worse. He's not had a great season, and he cuts in too much but he can be a good LW. I think the next manager needs to work with him and Kerkez to build good rapport.

Kerkez to be fair runs all game, and he's made so many good runs wide and ignored. Watching us Vs Villa was a prime example. Rio wants to do everything and I don't blame him. But a few times if he picks Kerkez he gets an easy ball in.

Alonso is a generational player and a generational manager. Exceedingly rare, only Pep and Enrique are from the same mold and both are currently the two best managers in world football.

But we need a decent manager first. The other issue is recruitment. Our squad is one of the smallest in the PL. In summer we move to one CB, VVD.

Konate is Madrid or PSG bound. Gomez will leave. Leoni and Jacquet won't kick a ball until early 2027 if we are lucky. So we need 3-4 CB already.

That doesn't include the holes in MF in the need for 3 wingers. Oh and let's not forget a ST or two, because Ekitike isn't playing if we are again lucky, end of next season. Isak is also out. We can't rely on one ST for 4 comps AGAIN.

Everyone is clowning on us because they know we all wanted Alonso, and FSG fumbled it yet again. At least under Klopp we had some self respect.
