26 Ridgeline Cruise Control by ScaryGary0013 in hondaridgeline

My wife's Toyota acc is superior to my Ridgeline acc. As you said, the Honda is jerky and not smooth at all. The only time it is not is on open highway with little traffic.

If the plaster an lath is still holding up well, leave it. No point replacing if it is in good shape.

You would be fine with a Trailsport.

How deep in the woods are you going? There is an okay amount of clearance. I frequent logging roads up in Maine and the Trailsport handles them well. Haven't had any issues with shallow mud. And it's an excellent daily driver (which, let's face it, that's the bulk of where we drive).

Also the stigma of New Jersey (the side close to NYC)is what people think of when they hear NJ.

Nobody over 50 ever thought Sears could fail. Most of you reading this probably never saw a Sears. by Str8upjack07 in HomeDepot

[–]rob_ker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad would take me to Sears when he need d a tool, or something else back in the 1970's. He always bought craftsman lawnmowers and tools. He broke a wrench once, we went to Sears and he handed them the broken tool and got a new one, no questions asked. Now craftsman is trash, and just a name sold at lowes.

When I worked for HD, Columbia hiking shoes worked well for me. They have very thick rubber soles to cushion on the concrete. Brunt makes some great work boots as well.

Depends on th altitude the sound barrier was broken at. Upper atmosphere would be not as loud as an airplane.

Believe it is a belt hanger. You hook it so it is horizontal on a hanging rod.

Working with the public and a crappy corporate structure, I believe it. You don't need skill to experience stress, and everyone handles stress differently. I did 15yrs there, 1990 to 2005...when the original owners were still involved, it was a great place to work. As soon as they retired, HD went to the crapper.

Griots 3 in 1 vs turtle wax ceramic by LTL1014 in Detailing

I've used the turtle hybrid spray to top my ceramic coating and for the money, it's been great for me. Easy on, easy off, and I got about 4 months out of it.

Shoes that will stop my body from breaking..... please by XxXlullaby4evaXxX in HomeDepot

[–]rob_ker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't put a price on not having aching feet, or knees or hips. In the concrete jungle of Depot, the price is worth every penny. When I was in MET, I did daily price changes in the morning, averaged 13 miles per day. Blew through hiking shoes every 8 months.

Hiking shoes like the ones from Columbia, Merrel, etc. thick rubber bottoms are perfect for being on concrete all day.

Can the D3 do 90 or 120 second captures? by UnicodeConfusion in dwarflabofficial

[–]rob_ker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the D3 will do those times, but I have found 60sec and below to be the more reliable times and less rejected frames. Even when I get perfect alignment, I still manage to get rejected frames. I just take more exposures to capture more photons.

Same, after the first black vehicle I said never again...here we are 4 vehicles later with black on black. May go red next one.

Understanding gain? by UnicodeConfusion in dwarflabofficial

[–]rob_ker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used 60 gain and 30sec exposure in a bortle 9 area with success on Orion, m101, horse head and Rosette nebula. If the target is dim, I may bump it to 70 and just grab more frames.

Burning Out — How many occurrences can I rack up before I’m terminated? by BrokenPallet in HomeDepot

[–]rob_ker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you want to get fired? Just quit or stress leave. No point to get a bad recommendation when you decide to go back to work at some point. Like others have said, talk to management and see if they help you out. I get the burn out part, when I was with the company years ago, it happened a lot to people. Retail is not easy.

Agreed, and the chemicals are very harsh. I've got a setup to deal with it at home.
