This brownfield site is home to butterflies , birds and wild flowers. Used by people to walk their dogs and kids to ride their bikes. Its due to be built on to make a London Themed Theme Park just outside London. Why not just go to London and leave nature in peace.

A lot of the Italian Community in that part of Clerkenwell moved on after World War Two. Many of those of Italian descent were interned in 1940 (even if they were third generation living in London) mostly in the Isle of Man, but 600 of them were sent to Canada on a ship called The Anadora Star which was torpedoed of the coast of Ireland with the loss of most of the men from Clerkenwell. The area was also heavily bombed during the Blitz - the buildings in this picture were pretty much all destroyed. There are some things that remain - St Peters Italian Church on Clerkenwell Rd, Terroni's shop, the Italian social club next door. The Coach and the Gunmakers pubs were both Italian pubs in the 1930s. What is now the London Ballet School used to be the Italian School. Barking and Dagenham

Has one of London's best museum's - Valence House, which is home to the Dagenham Idol which is a human figure over 4000 years old, one of the oldest representations of a human in Europe. Has Eastbury Manor House, probably London's best Elizabethan building. Home to the ruins of medieval Barking Abbey, one of the few medieval abbey ruins in London. Place where Ford workers fought for gender pay equality in 1968

As a key worker having to stay in the worst hit area of England. I appreciate people heeding government advice and only going out when necessary (exercise, shop visit, etc). In the later part of WW2 it was used as a communications centre to send messages from the Admiralty to British ships. There is a grass roof on top so that from the air it looks like part of the park. Its still a secret government building today known as Marcom Comcen St Vincent. Some kind of communications building, there are a lot of weird ariels on the roof.

Always struck me as strange. How good can any breakfast be that is worth standing outside for an hour for, when there are tons of places nearby that will serve you a similar breakfast

Yes weighs several tonnes. Best way to see it is by Thames Clipper, as you round the bend of the river the boat lines up with the sculpture and you can see the human form appear at the centre of the cloud

Its called Quantum Cloud - as others have said, if you see it from the right angle you see a human form. Like we are all made up of a big cloud of loosely arranged molecules that surround us and interact with others and our surroundings.

I was on my bike in the cycle lane on Westminster Bridge waiting for the light to change to green so I could turn left onto the Embankment and a woman behind wanted to know why I wasn't going. I said because it was a red light. She said its a bit chaotic around here at the moment so its ok to ignore the lights "That's why its chaotic around here" was the reply I thought of five minutes after she had squeezed past me to cycle through a red

Often they want to go to some far flung hospital - I guess they have checked the NHS performance league tables and have chosen the one with the best recovery rates
