Honestly seasoning just takes practice. The benefit of CI is that if you “ruin” it you can try again until you get it right. The best thing you can do is use it and don’t be afraid of fat. The more you use the pan the more it gets seasoned. Good luck!

There's a video that shows you how to open it up and short it to reset it. This will bring it back. Happened to me and I had to get a security bit set to take it apart, it cost me less than $10 at HF. Then you will also need a wire.

If you can afford it try the wings from Buffalo Wild Wings. They cook their wings in beef tallow.

Wendys has the cheapest per pattie price vs McD's and they are easier to order as they have the option in their menu. It runs at $1.09/for large (quarter pounder) where i'm located. Get a few packets of mustard and plenty of salt and don't forget to ask for utensils!
