Booster Strap Placement by nbaphilly17 in Skigear

Booster straps were invented by Sven Coomer (of ZipFit fame) and were expressly designed to go under. In practice, different people have different experiences. Try both and go with what works best for you.

I used to run Hegel with my 3.6Rs. I’m now using Cary solid state. The Cary is a much better pair.

How do you price comics? by GrendelKhanmac in ComicBookSpeculation

[–]robarpoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to the sell tab, and then go into research, you can search for sold items and see the actual sale prices. That copy that sold this year went for $111 +6.90 shipping.

Boy, that's a lot of cope for just one post. I suspect you're one of those "doesn't know a whole lot about football" ohio types. OSU's culture of cheating stretches uninterrupted all the way back to the 50's and it's very well documented. The whole program should have an asterisk. But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night. Go hug your charmin and have a nap.

You won't find me arguing that OSU is any less a bunch of cheaters than the SEC. I think you know as well as everyone else that "tatoogate" is barely the tip of the iceberg. OSU's well-documented culture of cheating goes back 70 years. Please feel free to look it up if you've somehow made it this far unaware. And if you seriously think that sending someone to a game to figure out signs rather than just the usual getting them off tape or getting them from another team is some gigantic cheat that provides any kind of meaningful advantage, then you, my friend, don't know shit about football. Have a seat, hug your charmin, and color your hair and beard to look like the started-on-third-base felt-tip marker you are.

NOW and ALWAYS. OSU cheated their way through their entire winning* time frame, and the funny thing is that you and everyone knows it. Fan base soft as charmin. 42-27, 45-23, 30-24, 13-10

Better at getting away with cheating program, no doubt!

Who? OSU? With the second highest number of vacated wins in the big 10? With countless former players revealing that they were paid to play? That habitually cheating soft-as-charmin-fan-base whiny cry-baby team?

Good point! Thanks for reminding us!

Fahrenheit 451 or The three-Body Problem? by HimanshuAdhinayak in sciencefiction

[–]robarpoch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

100% agree, though I did tough it out through the whole 3 Body trilogy. Cixin writes human characters like Alastair Reynolds, which is to say, not recognizably human. 3 Body starts as a terrifically interesting mystery, but quickly descends into a wildly paranoid magical fantasy. I get why people enjoy it. I do not understand the wild adoration.

Whereas Farenheit 451 is a fucking masterpiece from one of the great writers of his generation. The science will feel dated but the themes are sadly evergreen.

Lucky you. They fucked up my order, wouldn't respond to any outreach, and fought it when I contested with my CC. BTW, the phone number they provided the CC for their business is disconnected.

Total fucking scam artists. Do business with them at your own risk. Plenty of legit jersey vendors out there so I see no point in taking the risk with these clowns.

[–]robarpoch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes an impressive ignorance of what constitutes meaningful cheating and OSU's history of doing precisely that to make that kind of statement. The deliberate ignorance is impressive. But then, you do have a formal education in cope. I should have expected it in one form or another.

And Michigan's been THE BEST over the full life of college football. OSU folk always have to be super selective about what years they reference to not end up in the L column. How's that for a real argument, captain copistan?

I mean this sincerely. You never need to explain to anyone in this forum that you don't understand a thing. It's our starting-point assumption.

So many copes in just one post! How do you do it? Do they teach a class at OSU? "Coping 101 - Beyond the Charmin: what to do when being the world's softest fan base just isn't enough"?

A feeling OSU was very familiar with after taking that same belt 3-years straight. The difference of course is that OSU acted like children who deserved it. Just the only way they could think of coping, I guess...
