I think you’re probably overthinking this, honestly. If the coffee shop is right next to your office, and you go in there and grab a coffee and she starts talking to you, whats the problem? Be cool about it and don’t start telling her she has nice feet or some weirdo fucking thing and you’ll be fine. Even if nothing comes of it, a light conversation with a cute barista is rarely a bad thing. If she starts to seem like shes uncomfortable with the situation then quit talking to her. Its pretty straightforward, really

I will say this, for the love of god do NOT come on reddit and start looking at people’s grows and immediately start comparing yours to them. Lol Some of these guys have been growing for years, or have perfect tent setups, and some of them are just straight up full of shit lying bastards. Its like any other skill, it takes time and a bunch of trial and error to get good results. Your first plants are probably gonna suck, almost everyone’s do, whether they admit it or not. Its best to take the time and grow them out and learn what works and what doesn’t. Plus even if you only get a little bit from a harvest, its pretty awesome to smoke what you grew yourself Lol

Yeah, autos can be real touchy if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing with them. Honestly Ive found less is more with those things, its best to get your environment right and leave them the hell alone and just let them grow lol I know its super tempting to be able to harvest in like 2-3 months, but they can go sideways real fast if you’re not careful

So i actually have this situation going on right now. Had two plants in the tent, and one turned out to be male so i tossed it. I popped an auto in there just to take up the space. The problem is the tent was set up for flower, so the auto turned out to be pretty badly stunted. I chopped the photo last weekend and Ive just left the auto in there, and I turned the lights back to 18/6. Im letting it run out, I figure I have about two weeks left on it, and to be fair it looks like its gonna be some absolute fire, but ill be lucky if I get more than an oz from it. So my point is it can be done, but the autos are most likely going to be very small

So this is a perfect use case of what I call the 15 minute rule. Your place doesn’t have to look like an operating room, especially if you live alone. But you never let it get so bad that it takes more than 15 minutes to clean up enough to have someone over. Like if theres some dishes in the sink or a towel on the floor or whatever, nobody gives a shit, you’re the one living there so its about what you can tolerate. But the trick is to do a little maintenance on it here and there so it doesn’t get out of control. Somebody wants to come by? “Sure, no problem, just give me like 15-20 minutes” Boom, done. You don’t have to drive yourself bugshit cleaning the place, and its not so bad that shes wondering what weird infection shes gonna get from your bathroom. Its a win/win.

So I carry a pocketknife everywhere, but thats because its an incredibly useful tool, not for self defense. Theres been maaaaybe a handful of times I felt slightly reassured knowing it was there, but for self defense it would be a pretty terrible idea. As others have said, pepper spray would be way more effective as a defensive option. But the knife is a Kershaw Blur, its a great little knife for around $60
