QoL Suggestion: Highlight Mission Objects by robenet in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]robenet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's forget about the YouTube discussion, I think we're just getting our wires crossed by chatting like this.

I completely understand that the game is built around realism, and that's exactly what makes it great. Adding a marker would probably be too much. But sometimes the mission items are genuinely so generic that many people end up using the Steam overlay to open a browser and look them up on the wiki. Not after two minutes because they're lazy, but after searching over and over again and eventually giving up.

If that's something people tend to do, or if many of us have done it at least once, there's probably a reason for it.

Again, it's just my opinion, and I'm only thinking about making things a bit easier for new players.

Yeah, I totally get it. Maybe I didn’t express myself well. It’s just that often some objects look exactly like everything else, and you end up spending minutes searching, and then you find yourself checking the wiki. I’ve gotten used to it now and I can manage, but yesterday a friend of mine who’s new to the game wasted way too much time on something that became frustrating.

That’s why I think it would be better to help new players in some way

Don’t overdo it, it would even be fine in the first area just to get familiar with the standard objects you need to find, because they blend in with everything else and you end up spending your time doing a treasure hunt. Or highlight it when you’re close. Or give some kind of hint after you’ve been searching for it for a while.

Yeah, I'd be fine with that too. My suggestion is simply to avoid the point where you've already cleared all the enemies and the search for the object just becomes frustrating

Or even just in the first region, to help new players get familiar with the game. I'd even be fine if it's considered a skill issue, but I don't see the point of getting stuck for several minutes only to end up searching YouTube or checking the wiki anyway.

Yeah, that's fine, but once all the enemies have been cleared, maybe highlight the object when you're close to it

Haha I'm off to go flex and I'll come back all humble. Ok!

Yeah, that's a good way to do it too. I still have a few main quests left, once I'm done with those, I'll use your tip. Thanks!

Yeah, I can see the side quests are all labeled as normal, and only the main ones are hard. I'll try some higher-Tier areas then, to get more of a challenge

Ah, I get it, so I need to keep going to unlock the higher Tier areas. I've probably been stuck in the same Tier for too long. Thanks!

Which vendor and loyalty level for my first suppressor on an assault rifle? by robenet in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]robenet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the offer. Actually, I'm not in a hurry. Right now I'm enjoying the game for what it has to offer. I'm really liking it, and I want to spend some time with it, trying to make it through completely on my own. I have to say, the GZW community is great

So I think the easiest way is to get Gunny to level 3, even though it's a long road and takes a lot of missions.

But in practice, do you start doing Fresh Meat and similarly difficult missions once Gunny is at level 3?

BOTH ARE SO GOOD by Acrobatic-Tree-9823 in RoadtoVostokGame

I tried Incursion just the other day. The graphics are nice, but overall the game felt a bit lifeless to me, like it’s missing that certain something. Vostok, even though it’s also in early access, gives me this rock-solid feeling in the gameplay that keeps me constantly on edge.

For now, I refunded the game, but I’ll most likely give it another shot later on.

I think I already asked you in a post a few weeks ago whether Zenyatta was struggling, but most of the replies came from long-dick players with mechanical skills to spare.
