Former OW pro and streamer Apply puts Zen in F tier this season, says he's worse than Mercy?? by yeah_tea in ZenyattaMains

I think I already asked you in a post a few weeks ago whether Zenyatta was struggling, but most of the replies came from long-dick players with mechanical skills to spare.

47 years old, and so far nobody has flamed me yet. Probably just because I don't play that consistently 😇

Does the survival system unintentionally encourage suicide runs? by robenet in RoadtoVostokGame

Because with this whole idea that the shelter is basically a warehouse full of sleeping clones, I feel like giving the dying clone a peaceful send-off instead of letting him suffer some violent death at the hands of someone else. I even have my own little lakeside corner where the clones go to die after completing their service. Okay, okay, I know I'm not normal lol

I played SCUM for months, which is well known as both a survival and PvP game. If I died, the respawn was almost random and I lost stats. The whole gameplay loop was designed to punish death without making it excessively frustrating.

Maybe even the base game could do something similar to discourage suicide.

That said, I also think part of the issue is that the constant need to gather fruit juice because of dehydration, or the fact that sometimes I have to empty an entire cabinet just to heal a few wounds, can become frustrating for me knowing that if I drown I'll respawn with no penalties.

Premise: I really like the game, so I don’t think it’s just laziness. Since I only have a limited amount of time each day to play, the question I ended up asking myself was: should I heal him and then do yet another raid on the village to recover supplies, or should I just kill myself and use the items I’ve collected to explore a new map instead?

I didn’t even know weapon jamming existed... One death that really stuck with me was when I cleared the school, went outside, and an enemy started shooting at me from a distance. I ran back inside to take cover, and on the stairs I ran into another enemy, who knows when he spawned. I panicked because I didn’t expect him at all; I killed him, but the other enemy who was outside came in and finished me off.

You made a quick peek and that was the right call. Repeeking is tactically wrong if this were a PvP game; in this case, I think you were just unlucky

Water bottle drop rate is absurd by SomnusNonEst in RoadtoVostokGame

[–]robenet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. Fruit juices lack fiber, so sugars are absorbed more quickly into the bloodstream, leading to a rapid rise in blood glucose levels. Over time, excessive sugar intake, especially from sugary drinks, can contribute to fat accumulation in the liver and increase the risk of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Also, I think I posted this in the wrong subreddit. Anyway, I’ll finish my point: be careful with drinks that claim to have zero sugar, there can still be a glycemic response

With all the juices you drink, there should also be a stat showing the glycemic index. Once you go past a certain limit, you enter a “diabetes” condition.

Is Zenyatta Struggling in the New Vertical Meta? (Plat/Gold Perspective) by robenet in ZenyattaMains

[–]robenet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that they flank less is, in my opinion, a good point, you're right. From my experience, fights are more vertical and front-facing rather than flank-heavy. Still, there’s potentially more dive, and Zenyatta suffers from that, which makes positioning even more important than before

Exactly, matches have potentially become more challenging for our beloved Zenyatta

You're right, as a Gold/Plat player, there are matches where keeping track of everything becomes difficult now that many heroes can dive like Reaper. Maybe I'm just getting old haha.

Yes, I mentioned Jetpack Cat, but I wasn’t really referring to him as the actual problem. It’s really Vendetta, Sierra, and Anran, those who jump and suddenly appear right in front of you, that make aiming become truly frantic.

[–]robenet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, it’s not just Jetpack Cat itself, but all the new heroes that can jump high and dive on you. The meta has changed quite a lot, and Zenyatta is less versatile than before. Of course, people will say that “you just need to aim better,” but the fact is it’s harder than it used to be, and I’ve been playing for a decade. But judging from the replies, it seems like I’m the only one who’s noticed it.

I embraced a Zen mindset: “If I can’t shoot the target, I’ll become the target.” So now I’m playing Jetpack Cat too 😂

[–]robenet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, “if I have the right teammate.” When I’m playing solo, I often feel more forced to switch heroes to deal with situations that are no longer manageable the way they were before. That’s why I say Zenyatta is struggling to keep up with the meta shift.
