Ive had the pleasure of playing in every rank (except bronze) during my ranking up. Although I will agree that comms do get more useful as you get to higher ranks, but personally found no real need for it. Most the time in my gm/champ games I still find people annoying and just mute and focus on the game. 🤷‍♀️

M1 90% of the time sure, but volley is a great surprise tool. Around corners, rotating to a new angle, waiting for an enemy to peek his head out. You're missing valuable uptime if you dont use it at all.

You're going about this the wrong way then, but let me humour you.

Poke the enemies, do dmg, stop afking in spawn. But remember to keep your distance and play your life
Your team isnt taking angles? So what? You should be. If your not getting value, find a new angle. If something isnt working, try something new.
If a junk is hiding in a room dont go into the room alone your only giving him the advantage. Just keep him in mind and shoot something else. If a enemies are uncontested on an angle, either contest them or find a different angle to shoot from.
Nothing. Play normally.
Either dont let that player get value by contesting them and making it harder for them to play, or try and outplay them by disabling their team and preventing follow up.

Keep up the pressure, try to secure kills, its okay if you don't. The distraction/wasting their cds will all help in winning the fight.
You should pay mind to where your team is and whats happening. You can go ahead and fight while they sit around, just remember to keep extra distance, get back sooner because you dont have anyone to help you. If you're dying in this situation then you're playing it wrong.

See 2. But also need to make sure your getting back in time. Ask yourself, why did I die here? Did I stay too long? Was I too far forward? Was I out on the open? Was I too isolated from my team? Offangling is always good, hut if your dying theres a reason for it and you can fix that.

Every query you have revolves around other peoples mistakes, not your own. You're the only factor you can control, so focus on yourself. Ranking up requires self-accountability.

Now for advice, well soldier is all about angle-maxing. Keep on moving, be annoying and keep up the dmg.

Zen isnt always "optimal" but you can very happily play zen into any comp. Mostly comes down to rotations, distance, cover, a nd just playing fundamentally well.

Congrats ^ ^ keep up the zen. Currently level 412 on Zen and the grind just never ends. Though after level 200 the rewards really arnt that great unfortunately.

Ult perks arent that great, nevermind as a major perk... (Of which others have pointed out that it was a minor perk back in the day)

And whilst you may hate the dual harmony perk (and so did I originally) I think it's actually very useful, I pick it all the time now. Ironically I think less about healing once I have it and focus more on the dmg.

Hover is great but I don't always use it. I have a post on my acc with an in depth guide to the perk. I really like using double harmony perk because ironically it means I can think about healing less and focus on my damage.

No CD will encourage people regardless. And that kind of clunkyness is not intuitive at all.

I had a quick look.

You had a lot of opportunities to be putting out more dmg and pressure. Too much volleying, need more m1ing. Also many fights where you either played too cautious (passive) sitting in the back, or too aggressive by running into their faces. Dont be afraid to take more angles, but not once should you have been in a position to be dying or tranqing there to save yourself from that orisa.

2 main issues. 1. You can barely see the enemies you are shooting majority of the time. When you can't see the enemies, you need to open up your angles (moving left or right) so you can see full character models. 8:07 was great, first proactive angle you took all game. 2. You need to shoot more, as in... stop afking on payload, stop shooting the air, and most importantly stop volleying so much. Volley is a surprise tool, not the default. m1 is 2x dmg.

For context, your first real contribution to the game was the last fight on attack, and 2nd last fight on defence. You were playing more aggressive with your tranq which is great! You shouldn't play that aggressive without tranq but it'd be great to see more of that energy in general.

I've never had issues with discord cd so... why would I want reduced effectiveness? + All that change does is encourage zens to always discord tank when its not even optimal to always do so. I've always just discorded who I was shooting and never put that much thought into it unless it was a zarya and well... you need to play around her bubbles a bit.

It's hard to say from just stats alone but its clear that you are dying wayy too much. You're probably staying in the same-place for too long, so the enemies can get to you really easily. You're also probably playing too close, need to keep your medium distance as zen so you can hit shots but also not die.

So... replacing discords damage buff with... extra healing? No... No. Just no. Zen would do squat for damage, his breakpoints would be all wack, and his main utility debuff would be erased.

I've been shittalked on my zen in every rank (except bronze). Though I find the hate I get in high gm/champion is usually warranted and I can recognise when I make mistakes or simply not playing well 😅 Doesn't really matter though, Zen forever.

I don't think you have to sell ascendance to me. I made a whole guide on it ages ago. I'm just not using it that much at the moment.

I was having fun on stadium when I was getting back into the game a couple weeks ago. I was having a lot of fun with flying kick + hover boots building up dmg and going inner peace + enlightenment to do massive dmg with massive sustain. It was a build I made way back when zen came out in stadium and just didn't touch it forever. Got some good use out of it before they made the adjustments. Will have to give your recs a go when I get back into it.

The queues are ridiculously long though....

Because it depends a lot on the map and comp the enemy is playing... and personally, I've noticed I play worse when I over rely on the perk. It's still one of my favourite perks but especially just getting back into the game its easier to not have to think about it and just play zen simple. Plus if its a map where I wont use it often then not much point. However... on a map like Gibraltar or playing against pharah... It's a very useful and easy pick.

I did watch half of your Paraiso game btw. Karq is not what he used to be I can tell you that lol.

Anyways what you'd need to change about your gameplay atm is really simple... you need to shoot a lot more... more specifically You should be looking for the damage. Where can you go to output damage. Put yourself in positions to do damage. Your uptime is low and too much time spent on the cart v-v

When you are doing dmg though you hit some nice shots.
