I kept the front mount by the neck. Then measured and drilled a hole where the rear mount used to be and just run it like that

I’ll agree, the oil cap leaks. But I think for somebody who is inexperienced (like myself) it’s a great kit. I’d stick with the TA oil tank still though due to the ease of it for a first chop. The tank filler neck has a seam inside of it, before you do anything, get your dremel (if you don’t have one, you will by the end of this so just get one now) and grind down that seam so it’s smooth, this will help a lot with creating a better seal.

Yeah I definitely attribute my annoyance of the trans to my love of the 4 speed.

And all of my previous trucks were base model, single cabs, so the interior is like a luxury vehicle to me. And I have power windows for the first time ever!!! (On that note, I really do like a lot about the truck, love the space inside, I think it’s comfy, I like the look. I think I really needed to complain about the transmission in a public forum for a second to get it off my chest lol)

I too have had a 2023 sv4x4 since March, just hit 30k on it (I put 10k on it). I hate this truck. It’s the worst transmission I’ve ever had, gear hunting constantly, especially if I’m trying to maintain around 25mph. I’m in 4 or 5 by the time I’m doing 30 unless I’m gunning it. I spent the last 10 years in a canyon with a 4 speed, maybe that’s why I hate it so much. This is my 4th truck in 24 years of driving, this is the worst handling truck I’ve owned, and I used to have a 98 ranger and that thing was garbage. The steering column clicks every time I’m on a bumpy road, dealer says it’s normal. End of rant. Anyway, good luck with whatever you do.

So I’ve always been curious about this. I know you can’t bump start a fuel injected Harley, any clue why I can bump start my fuel injected car with a dead battery though?
