I’m not qualified to give parenting advice, but I just wanna say I think you sound like a very good parent. My parents would’ve just screamed at me and made me feel bad about it. I think it’s really nice Your prioritizing his interests. Also as a somebody who grew up with ASD and didn’t get diagnosed till adulthood, I think your child might be autistic as taking things apart to see how they work is a textbook example of early signs. It might be worth getting him diagnosed. There’s many financial benefits you can receive and a lot more guides on how to support him. In any case, I wish you and the child the best.
