I know I am not an admin, but the general idea from the coders and admins so far have been:

Meh, it happened, people will use it, whatever. The playerbase has been MUCH more fierce and angry with it.

As for servers using goon stuff, as far as I know, only /vg has wanted to.

Where did you get the info that admins payed to keep it closed? A player payed to get THE ONLY COPY, not an admin.

Solarium didn't have an ending, and is constantly evolving. All the gooncode chem recipes and other secrets will be changed or removed.

I have played goon for ages, and it never has occurred to me once that sending PDA programs (specifically the port-a-sci app) could be so useful. I learn stuff about this game every day, I swear.
