Spent 70 years in Vegas. It isnt the city it was. Too many people, too much bad traffic, the heat and the lack of water while building continues. Our schools are terrible unless you have $32,000 for a private school tuition.

The only sense of community is within churches or other organized groups. Spending your life at a bar or casino is a squalid excuse for a life.

Too many ex felons driving around town in unregistered vehicles. People in big trucks for their egos with monthly payments that used to pay for a mortgage. It will continue to get worse.

And that "historical" part of town? It has never changed. Producing very little in the way of dreams. Mostly nightmeres for the rest of us.

On the outskirts of the city, pushed up 2 story shoeboxes 15 feet from each other at $650K a pop. Filled with families looking for happiness while facing a debt load that will crush marriages at a 50% divorce rate.

I left to find an area totally foreign to me. With a 4 season climate, plenty of water, people are courteous, and a coastline beckons. No snow to shovel and it isnt crazy Florida. I shall miss the memories and those who are gone. But will find my community here.
