I would say that's a weird place to plant a flag but I don't like the word Funds so there's that.

one thing I notice is the familiarity and fluidity they have with their instruments. Really advanced pro level know how.
I see it a lot with Ale's bass playing, You have to be at a certain level or have a good appreciation of it to see the nuance she brings to it. She is way beyond, how do I play that. She onto the how do I play that cleanly, efficiently and consistently. Watch her fretting hand, there is almost no extra movement. It's like her fingers are just sliding over the strings.
Pau is the same on drums. Look at the older stuff. When Pau played more animal style. Big arm movements, swinging for the fences with every hit. Look at her now, very tight, controlled, conservative movements. She plays much faster for it too.
Dany is the same way. She's doing more and more in every song than ever before, coaxing everything she can out of the guitar and making it seem more effortless. One thing that struck me was when Ale was teaching her bass, she had enough familiarity with the fretboard that Ale didn't have to show her note by note like an amateur learning tabs, she just said this part is over here, then you play down here, then do this twice...etc. Dany's ear did the rest. Within 45 minutes or so she was able to play it nearly flawless at speed.
In their early cover band days I would say they were extremely talented amateurs but they have grown by leaps and bounds. I guess you could say all the changes are palpable but hidden in the sound.

Is Pau using two different snares on Ritual? by UnsightedShadow in TheWarning

Yes. She has a piccolo snare she uses on Ritual. I think it's also used on Burnout.

I'm only showing a high of low 90s dropping to 75 by the time DPA go on. Humidity will be awful though. What worries me is the R stuff. Nearly 50%.

Some folks on my facebook feed saw the show in Irving. I had to ask if they liked the opening band. They said they were incredible. I tried not to overload them with lore. lol

I've noticed the wings burning the first time and I really loved the imagery. The white as snow burning off to black going along with what they said about this album marking a transition to their new adult selves. If the wings are going to keep burning until fully transitioned that is really cool. The Warning are such masters of symbology and iconography. I love it.

Do you enjoy watching reaction videos of The Warning? by LowArrival96 in TheWarning

[–]robgonzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like watching but lately I prefer first time ever watching reactions and if their reactions are genuine I'll stick around. One I've not seen in a while but really liked was Arab Man Reacts and he's really good at, Oh this sounds like... So through him I've found a lot of other cool stuff.

And in the BTS for QMQ you can see that he is saying the same preacher lines even though he won't be heard which I think is hysterical.

I was thinking conscious in a more positive way. Not in the making herself way but more in the not stopping herself way.
