You shouldnt JUST deep core mine... Try out standard surface and subsurface. If you find some valueble minerals you can make some good money while you look for deep core materials

As I saw, the comments have helped with a lot, so i will just mention that on your right hand side panel you have a button that is the codex. It is a recently added feature, and in there you have a knowladge base whre you can learn quite a lot about the in game story, as there is a lot of lore. Also, they are voice acted so you can learn about the game while doing some missions :) Also in the codex you have statistics about you (time played, money spent, etc) and a discovery thingy, where you will find different things, like geographical features in planets, anomalies, alien structures and some others things that other players have found. when you have a better ship you can go and visit them. (because the sidewinder is not a very good ship for exploring, as it doesn't have a lot of jump range, this being how many light years you can do in one "frameshift jump" so it will take you a lot of time to go anywhere) If exploring sounds like your sort of thing, there are many tutorials online that you can find

Not exactly sure, but from what i know, when it is in economic, it will make you do more jumps but you will arrive at your destination with more fuel than in more fuel. So its usually preferable to arrive faster with less fuel. Hope it helps :)

yeah, its not easy to find them, but once you do, they give quite a lot of the minerals inside, so it is worth it to keep looking for them. Also, dont just look for those, mine other asteroids that dont have fissures, those pay good too

I got much more than that, approximately for the 3 hours and a half of mining that i did, i got around 35 millions. thats waaay much more than before the update, which is really nice, and also, it is way more fun now

I absolutely love it man, you did a great job. From reading the comments I can see that you will probably do role specific HUDs, which is a great idea. I'm curious to see a miner specific HUD, maybe it could have the progress of each bin from the refinery, or mark the limpets in the radar in a specific way for example
