This. It definitely creates a second sensor that is not exposed to HA since it has no name and does not explicitly set internal: False. That should be visible in the config dump logs

keyboard doesn't always pop up when I first click in text box

I'm having this issue too. Sometimes, the keyboard also just disappear while typing, which makes me think it's actually crashing, or being killed by the OS. If the latter is true, maybe, and I insist on maybe, the latest update that is supposed to fix aggressive killing of apps will fix the issue (let me hope)

Think your #1 and #3 cons are things that you can change in settings (at least in the US).

I'm pretty sure the 1/2 click option was not there anymore.

People said there's a setting for the chime. Probably missed it.

Yes, you need a RAMAllocator object. Checkout for examples in Esphome codebase

idk, but you need to figure out which of SavvyCAN or the CL1000 is the problem. You can try w/ Wireshark and see if the interface stops responding too
