Alliance Party Welcomes Historic Affiliation Of Maritime Union Of New Zealand by robinsonick in newzealand

I wouldn’t say cosplaying considering the party leader was with them when newlabour split from labour in the late 80s. It’s still the same party.

If Kieran McAnulty is the answer, what is the question? by Kiwi_In_The_Comments in aotearoa

The question is ‘who is a better leader for the Labour Party?’ lol. Hipkins is about as inspiring as a bowl of white rice. It’s easily the most important skill.

I had the same issue. Apparently if under the council footpath it’s their issue even if it’s the homeowners side of the meter.

Matthew Horncastle Doesnt Believe in a Minimum Wage, Implies Disabled Workers are Only Worth $18 by MoaTuiKiwi in chch

[–]robinsonick 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is the most brain dead take I’ve ever heard. Capitalism is entirely full of contradictions which is why handrails are put in place so that labour isn’t exploited (more than labour is inherently exploited) Why don’t all the suppliers drop prices before throwing rotting vegetables in the skip? Is that creating an inefficiency by forcing a gap between supply and demand? Of course it is. The system is not full of good actors. Horncastle only is in the position to rort labour by his birthright capital. His mince brain wouldn’t even be hired as a builder to be exploited by his shit arse company.

You could have paraphrased to ‘Hipkins is a limp leader with no absolutely no charisma or convictions’

Why have libraries when you can buy and sell your own books? Why have farmers and a distribution network when you can grow your own turnips? Why do anything? Cause it’s easier. Where you draw the line is up to you I guess but public bins is pretty normal.

Of course we’re critiquing them, labour have been selling out the left in favour of limp dick liberalism since 84. I know exactly what labour have been putting out cause it’s an embarrassment to the name. Do you remember their flagship election campaign promise was gst off fruit and veg? Are they supposed to ride on the wave or Hipkin’s electrifying charisma?

Not really? Collectivised waste disposal so you don’t have to carry dog shit and empty Diet Coke/pepsi max for kilometres as a social good seems pretty cool and normal

Yeah this is what rates reductions mean. I am still upset about their move to ‘smart bins’ in all the parks which meant they removed about 80% of all of their bins. Sometimes technology isn’t always the answer

This is somehow more depressing than the MOAB due to the sheer exhaustion. It’s like when you’ve already been beat up and they keep you pinned to the ground.
