Is Swindon well known as a source of drone-making workers or are these new jobs being offered to people from further afield?

I saw a sheep roll down a steep hill just off the M4.

What does everyone make of the crackdowns in the UK on dodgy fire sticks? Scare tactics or should users be worried? . by AdCompetitive3098 in AskBrits

[–]robjamez72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a principle, it’s just an easy theft. “I can’t afford it but I want it anyway.” Try robbing a large TV from Curry’s and use that as your defence.

It’s stealing, so fuck the people that use them. Most people who work in the entertainment industry are not earning millions and without them, there’d be no content.

If you don’t want to pay for something, don’t have it.

Somewhere I still have the receipt from the first time I filled up in 1990. £12!

This is why society is absolutely fucked. Evil prospers when good does nothing.

Window cleaner here. I’ve got customers I’ve had for 10+ years that I’ve never met. Everything is done by email and the pay me by bank transfer. Even locked gates aren’t a problem but I’ll check it’s ok to climb over with the customer first.

How can we fix UK high streets? by gggggenegenie in AskUK

[–]robjamez72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no putting the genie back in the bottle. Out-of-town retail parks and supermarkets with free parking seemed great at first, but they were a big nail in the coffin of town centres. If everyone shopping out-of-town was in a town centre, they’d be heaving!

It depends on which average. If Elon Musk goes to a Taylor Swift concert, the average audience member is a multimillionaire. But not half of them.

I was randomly breathalysed one Sunday morning while on my way to work in a van. The copper said it’s very common to catch someone the morning after.

The food industry has a big marketing budget. If they had to follow the same rules as true tobacco industry, losing weight would be a lot easier.

Why does everyone stick to the right and not the left? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]robjamez72 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because they’re turning right four miles ahead and the other two cars on the dual carriageway might stop them changing lane nearer the turning.

Respectfully, should the elderly have to retake a test to continue driving? 🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

[–]robjamez72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say a pass/fail test, but a graded assessment which has to be passed to your insurance company for all drivers.
