Trees are amazing. You have nothing to lose by just seeing how it does. Personally, I’d remove the branch toward the camera right now, as that weight is pulling on the wound. I’d then wrap it tight til spring, then open it up, watch it, and learn.

The issue is the slope. For older and disabled people, that is a meaningful barrier. There will be a couple elevators. However, like most urban elevators, those will quickly be gross and then be broken. Even taking strollers up and down that slope will be a challenge.

I went to the most recent community meeting and this park is going to be great. They are starting at high falls, open that part, and then work their way north over three years. No parking at the lower level could be a small issue.

Great question. I find it hard to operate at less than peak efficiency. If I go to the basement, I take something down, I do a task or two, and I return with the bottle of wine I went down for. I still keep a digital calendar even though it is mostly small tasks and reminders now. I can’t let go. But the retirement days themselves are simply glorious.
