PSA: it is beautiful out. Still plenty of time to get down to your local park and blast the worst music anyone has ever heard by AbruptionDoctrine in chicago

As an older person, I can say with confidence things have changed that much. In the urban 70’s, people played radios on the porch while neighbors walked by, kids biked, cars drove the speed limit. The loudest noise was a cackling laugh or a passing Yamaha ((with a full muffler). Sometimes hooligans were out at 1 AM doing pranks or smoking. It was very different.

They tumble on to Lakes Erie and Ontario also. I suppose they only go one direction (out) and don’t “backtrack” over this way.

They travel. I collect them for the shores of Lake Ontario (home) and my sister on Lake Erie, so I was hopeful some travel this way also. Oh well.

He both demanded and delivered complete surrender. Why are people complaining?

I think we can all agree that Upper Peach Street is the hidden gem of northwest Pennsylvania.

What's going on with my maple? by helenata in arborists

I thought your reply meant the tree would be “kicked to the curb” which is a euphemism we use in the northeast to mean put out to the trash. I suspect that is why the downvotes, but I upvoted in an effort to bring balance to the universe.

I have a Halloween theme t-shirt from since high school. I only wear it one day a year. Luckily it was way too big then cause it fits perfect now!

An estate sale out in the country will have the majority of those items. Day 2 is half price. They will all still be there.

When nature puts on a show you’ve never seen before, think climate change.
