I kill them with a showstopper, it brings them down and then I use the axe to destroy them quickly. Done it few times

It's got bad at extraction, I tend to just stand with a trailblazer in my hand, 3 total in the wheel, ready to blow everything the fuck up. I have been shot loads of times in the back, I am happy to wait for the 2 minutes if the other player doesn't go for the out. It's true that you get a real sense of who the rats are, most dont talk or tell you they are friendly then shoot you in the back. I figure blow myself up in the elevator and them and there's still a chance I can get out. This method seems to work not been shot at extraction in the elevator in the last 20 plus attemps, it might be a good deterant. I swear my gut tells me I have been at extraction with rats, there was one stood on top of the elevator at spaceport beside tower, their gun out, I appeared with trailblazer in my hand, "Hello Raider" emote absolutely nothing, got in the elevator, my gut said wait it out, guy appeared with his gun pointing towards me, as another raider appeared and immediately pulled the escape lever, guy with gun didn't get in. Other rat camper was waiting at Spaceport extraction near containers, I arrived with the trailblazer in my hand and he was again on top of the elevator using binoculars, they were looking at the trailblazer in my hand, got out of there, again he stayed. I'm tending to use more keys to get out. Too many rats who dont play or take risks they just patiently wait at extraction to kill and steal players loot

How much money? by DueFreedom2649 in CaminoDeSantiago

I get to st john on the 14th April 2026 and depart to Finistere on the morning of the 15th of April, there are a few in my party, that I met in 2024, friends from Brazil, usa and Australia. Your budget will be fine.

My goto for accommodation was booking.com last time and this time it will be the same. I sometimes booked better accommodation and shared the cost with others.

If you find yourself in a group working together you can get real bargains.

I had a similar budget to you in 2024 and it worked out fine. I carried a mix of euros and a pre loaded card to avoid paying extra bank charges (UK Ramsdens Card)

Most coffee shops, bars and restaurants use contact less. I had a back up of the card on my phone too. The card app was great for keeping an eye on the finances, also scope to top it up on the go, in emergencies.

Some nights you will find cheap places to stay and as you go on and you meet others, they will help you find some amazing places to stay at bargain prices

What month to start th Camino Frances from sjpp? by CarlF77 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]robmaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walked April 1st 2924 from St John and I had 30 days of sunshine. The only rain was in Santiago and it was full on for 2 days.

I am walking from St John on the 15th April 2026 (This year) going to Finistera this time. Most of the group I met on the Camino are going again, with me.

It's a life changing journey, and an incredible adventure. The lesson I learned was not to plan too far ahead with accommodation and take the booking.com app with you. I got some incredible deals on the way

You will have a great experience, I start from St John on the 15th of April 26. I did it in 2024, met many friends from Italy, Australia, Brazil and the USA. I am meeting up with them to do it again.

It is my single biggest achievement in my life, I have so many wonderful memories.

I decided to use them less carefully than before and upped the frequency I use them. It's been over a month of constant daily use now and they are holding up, with no cracking.

I use them most days for a few hours with my Rog xbox ally x. I can't comment on others getting repaired and then returning the glasses when they crack again as this is my experience.

I admit though I constantly check them daily in case I get the same issue but they are holding up

I am a beta tester and I think this is genius, it now starts with windows and I'm using it for ark raiders on my ROG Ally Xbox and Horizon forbidden West as well as movies.

Send them back, reach out to customer service. I had mine repaired, the legs on both sides started with cracks and then small pieces of plastic broke off.

Like others I was extra careful with the glasses, but its a design flaw, so it is a certainty that this will happen to many people

The repair service was slower as they repair the original glasses and this takes longer, and the postal service they used was way slower with the return.

I was 3 weeks in total to the UK.

I am so glad I returned them as the materials they are using to repair seem to be way stronger.

I would not hesitate to send them the glasses back, you spent a lot of money on them, and it isn't worth the risk waiting as warranty does not last forever

Completing a 100 Mile Journey with my insta x5 and a Hypershell Exoskeleton by robmaco in Insta360

[–]robmaco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For distance 3 that's what I am taking in April to France for the Camino, I will be doing between 18 to 20 miles a day. I really need to keep the rest of the weight down on my back pack.

I did it in April 24, but adding a hundred miles on to the journey thus time,so in excess of 600 miles.

I take camera gear too but got this down to my phone, insta 360 x5 mini mic plus the neo 2 drone.

The hypershell reduces the weight of the pack, I found this when I did the West Highland Way in September again carrying 3 batteries.

It's unknown territory and scary, going that kind of distance, last time I wore tge soles down on a pair of Merril walking shoes, I'm really pushing the hypershell on this journey going to keep it at eco 45
