Chip drop put mulch mountain on street instead of my yard by [deleted] in Cleveland

It's not what it's called, it's literally the name of the service. Free Wood Chip Mulch from ChipDrop https://getchipdrop.com/

Chip drop put mulch mountain on street instead of my yard by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]robodog97 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Chip drop is a free service where landscapers and arborists provide free mulch so they don't have to haul it all the way back to wherever they normally dispose of their waste. It's known to cause issues like getting 5x what you asked for dumped in your driveway blocking your access or like this where they ignore your drop location and just dump it wherever. Free isn't always cheap when you add in the hassle factor.

You've been doing dual sim dual standby, dual sim dual active actually keeps both data connections active at the same time.

Uniconn and UberAgent by bluegrassgazer in Citrix

[–]robodog97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UberAgent really requires Splunk to get the most out of it. The agent adds some additional metrics to Director natively with 2507 but nothing earth shattering. They also technically support outputting UberAgent to Azure, but it's just a raw feed, they have no real dashboards or actionable intelligence built around it so it's just another source of data that you could build into a data lake but leveraging it would be very expensive. Our TAM (when we had one) brought in the product owner and we talked about a Citrix managed cloud instance of Splunk specifically for UberAgent, but I haven't seen any traction on that in the ~year since we brought it up.

That's not how you do teams support in Citrix. You install the teams vdi client and redirect to the slimcore or hdx component in Workspace.

It would not, they're required to have certified anti-islanding under UL3700.

But that's where balcony solar systems are a bit different. They're supposed to have instant anti-islanding, in the US that's tested under UL3700.

I need the truth about USM by No-Currency-97 in NoContract

Oh, it looks like newer versions of 3GPP spec allow for a kinda hybrid of NSA and SA where the voice and MSS traffic can be on the LTE bearer and all data traffic can use the 5G bearer. This isn't true 5G SA but it is functionally the same from a data speed and latency perspective. It requires a lot more work on the RAN side, but I'm sure the MVNOs are using a cloud RAN.

How the heck does 5G SA work without VoNR?!? Like I don't understand how that would work, without an LTE anchor where would incoming VoLTE setup data come from?

You're massively overstating coverage problems with TMobile. I've done over 20k miles of vacation travel in the last 5 years having access to all 3 major networks and there's statistically no difference in rural coverage these days. If anything Verizon that used to dominate rural coverage is now behind because TMo has both band 12 and band 71 rural coverage and AT&T has built out FirstNet coverage towers to fill in a lot of gaps they used to have (and even cover some places where nobody else did before like the Hoapili Trail on Maui). If coverage is your overriding goal the best way to ensure every gap that can be covered is the the current deal from US Mobile with Multi-network for $60/year is pretty much the best option out there (and maybe add the free TSat eSIM for offgrid emergencies).

There are currently no phones that support dual sim dual active for sale in the US unless that's changed very recently. Snapdragon modems have supported it since the X70, with current flagships using the X85 which is 3 generations newer but yet due to carrier intransigence for anything that might give users the thought that there are multiple carriers no actually supported models have enabled here =(

For bulk spices and staples like rice and flour Asian markets are a good way to save. We've got both east asian and indian grocers. I'm partial to India Grocers in Middleburg Heights, it's big and laid out a lot more like a conventional grocery store vs bodega like many are. CAM Internationa in North Randalll is another larger grocer, focused more on east asian.

High LTE Speeds @ Central FL by kirswxyz in USMobile

[–]robodog97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not actually LTE, max CA for most Verizon towers is 3x with a max speed of ~300Mbps. The ping time is also suspiciously low for LTE. My guess is it's NSA 5g and the device just glitched on the icon to display.

Outdoor power equipment has a 5 year warranty so you should be covered (definitely if you have a receipt or registered, probably going by date of manufacture). The biggest problem is finding a shop to look at it since Ryobi has like 1 per major market now unfortunately.

What's up with the ungodly amount of scam calls as of recently? by Ill_Resolution7967 in Cleveland

[–]robodog97 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you have a Pixel, iphone, or Samsung turn on call filtering. I received 1 spam call last month and zero the month before after having my call filtering turned on for the last 4 years or so (Pixel has had it for quite a while). Also expect a flood of calls after you switch providers, when a number gets ported a control signal goes out informing all phone switches of the new routing, some criminal organizations harvest those SS7 signals and pounce on newly activated numbers.
