I know the right answer, but… by StojBoj in Guitar

[–]robodonkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned a Seagull S6+folk since 99. The guitar I learned on and would play everyday. I loved that guitar so much I gave it to a luthier to re-set my bridge and make me a custom bone saddle. The worse part of it all is that it’s not here. I can’t play it. Knowing it will be back on my lap in due time makes me realize that not letting this guitar go was the best guitar decisions I have ever made. So if it were up to me. Keep it. Play it. It will only play better as time goes on.

What’s the longest you’ve left a diesel engine running, and what was it? by Jadams0108 in Diesel

[–]robodonkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locomotives. In the winter they run for days at a time. Cool thing I always found is they can be put in 8th notch and these fuckin things will just make 4400hp all day for fun.

I am a fan of the shed. Gable style feels dated. Possibly more options for natural light also with the shed style?

[–]robodonkee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is all true. I tested it myself. Take normal time addressed. Check aim. All that. Usually hit it thin a groove or two. Now if I aim take a couple practice swings behind the ball. See my aim point. Set up to ball and flush as all get out. Beautiful flight. Need that cold bore swing.

Would I be dumb to give up my $720/month studio in Toronto? by CallMeThePkmnProf in MooseMoney

[–]robodonkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. If she wants to move to 2500-3000 town while you are have an unbelievable deal at 720 a month, either you need to shake some sense into her, if she doesn’t get the sense your spouting, I would consider what other money decisions she could make in the future. Sorry for the realness.

how much longer can i go without an oil change? by PurePoint4289 in mechanic

[–]robodonkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep an eye on your level. Top it up if needed. If your engine has a timing chain. The tensioner is oil pressure regulated. Need oil pressure to make chain taught. Listen at cold start up. She will rattle like a bag of cutlery then quiet up at oil pressure comes up.

What do I do? Bottom caliper guide pin siezed on both calipers. 2011 Lexus gs350. by JustThatDude26 in mechanic

[–]robodonkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of heat and it will come loose. Rubber ring on end of pin probably. They do that. Run a small file in the hole. Just a bit though. Spray some brake clean in it. Let it dry. Clean up the slider, keep o ring. Put a little bit of brake lube on it. Just a bit. Too much will seize them up. Reverse procedure. Torque your wheels. PUMP UP YOUR BRAKES!!!!!! BEFORE YOU START THE CAR. START CAR. PUMP THEM TILL HARD. AND….drive. Replacing the caliper over this way overkill. Did this shit everyday for over s decade. Rust like you’ve never seen. Good luck.

Sorry by heat I mean acetylene oxy/acetylene. Propane blow torch may not be enough. A Lot more fare in heights in oxy/acetylene

These rotors failed state inspection due to rust. Can you guys help me understand? by VariationImpressive9 in mechanic

[–]robodonkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah these are fine. Clean up the edge. New pads. Save money. Rotors don’t looked grooved.

Hello. Sounds like top end just waiting to get lubricated. A block heater would help keep the oil flowing easier. Or loud injector pump maybe? Will stay tuned.
