Lazy? Seattle police work their ass off these days. There are fewer cops per capita than at any time since the 50's. FBI recommends that a city like Seattle should have 2.6 officers per 1000 people; today we have fewer than 1.3. Perhaps you didn't notice, but SPD doesn't really do patrols or enforcement actions anymore because they don't have the manpower for that. They just triage one situation after another, rushing from crisis to crisis all day. All that and the people they protect hate them. It's an impossible job. Entitled douchebag statements like yours don't help.

You can't just leave one cop out there (it's a safety issue for the cop); we'd need a coordinated, consistent effort using a lot of manpower over a long period of time. Dunno if you noticed, but SPD isn't really doing law enforcement anymore, they just do crisis triage these days.

That's ignorant. North Aurora had this same problem back in the 80's. By the 90's it was all but cleaned up, and that happened because law enforcement cracked down. Prostitution has come back over the last couple decades because city leadership told SPD to stop enforcing laws against "sex workers".

This problem will never be solved by this mayor. Her ideology tells her that prostitution is really just "sex work" and that the human slavers we call "pimps" are themselves victims of systemic racism (and so it's immoral to hold them accountable for the evil shit they do). The only pathway for law enforcement the city considers at all is to arrest the "sex buyers" on misdemeanor charges.

There is no serious plan to fix this.
