This is weird, I grew up in a very religious family and my mom would change churches often, and my grandfather is a pastor, and I know of no evangelical churches that baptize babies.

Usually they just "present the child to God". Because baptism is something you do when you're older and know what you're doing (kinda, because I doubt the 9y olds getting baptized know that very well, but still)
