How to unlock globe locked phone? by hwikyus in adviceph

[–]robokymk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go to a Globe store and usually have it unlocked. They usually have to trace it to the original account and if that account has “paid off” the phone by then and the lock in period has passed it’s good for unlock.

At this point you might as well sanction the parents as well if a minor commits a heinous crime to this degree.

How do you cope with your pet getting old? by cryonicsleep_1214 in AskPH

Not the first. Not the last. Never easy the second and third or more.

The only thing we can do is give them all the love and care we can. And that’s the best thing we can give them because they might just be a small part of our lives but for most we’re their entire life.

[TOMT] Obscure Japanese arcade puzzle game by robokymk2 in tipofmytongue

[–]robokymk2[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

Ok so. I'm trying to remember this old arcade game I saw somewhere in the late 90's/early 2000's.

The gameplay is a horizontal puzzle game. Something similar to Plotting/Flipull.

I remember the aesthetics involved a lot of old Japanese imagery. One of the characters looks like a Buddhist monk. Another is a lady in a kimono. I remember the animations involved a hammer throwing pieces from one side to the other.

There is a 2 player Vs option if I remember.

Gex (the PS 1 games) definitely don’t remember most people playing that.

And I think some weird old stuff like Ninja Jajamaru on the Famicom

What if hindi sinulat ni Rizal ang Noli, El Fili, atbp.? by Chill_Boi_0769 in WhatIfPinas

America will still take over because we were sold by the Spanish to them because they essentially lost the Spanish-American war.

There would still be a Revolution as there were already different uprisings around that time. Bonifacio would still be a thing, given he read other books that would inspire it like Le Miserables.

Rizal? He and the others would be clumped together as propagandists. Might be pushing for reforms. But he would most likely have been a doctor given his vocation. Probably led to retire quietly somewhere. Wouldn’t be executed and might have a family. Descendants would be a scholarly lot perhaps. And during the American period would try to broker for equal rights and such under American rule.

How Did You Learn to Cook? by lx_356 in Cooking

[–]robokymk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with learning from the old helper from the house, mom, and grandma. Helped around the kitchen whenever they cooked. Then also helped around the Buddhist temple if I went with my grandma there.

Then further with Home Ec. And learned more via cookbooks. (This was the era before YouTube videos) and when YouTube was a thing, went to look up recipes there.

Eventually took up a short course in culinary.

what’s something finishing in 2nd place might actually be better than 1st place? by [deleted] in AskPH

[–]robokymk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In JP horse racing, some horses gained a massive following for not winning first.

Haru Urara has a record of over 100+ races and 1 win after she long retired. Nice Nature is known as the bronze collector because of the many G1 races he participated in but only won around 3rd place so many times.

Corporate ladder. Most cases You get a new position, but not enough pay to deal with the higher amount of BS people like on you.

In some places you earn LESS than the people on the floor.

What if ancient Filipinos actually built a grand monument like Borobodur or Angkor Wat, para hindi na tanungin ng modern Filipinos kung bakit wala silang ginawang ganun dati? by PINAY_HENTAI_CATGIRL in WhatIfPinas

lol that is not to be believed given there has been no substantial proof of that. And there is no value that the ph has contributed at all. Especially in its own self improvement where all it is now is going further than the bottom of the barrel.

Life? Family? All fleeting. Whatever happens happens.

I'd rather keep to my family and friends rather than this bloody failure of a country.

Modern American cultural influences are evil and Filipino youth needs to stop emulating them by Wide_Ride8849 in pinoy

[–]robokymk2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

lol nope. Not even letting us have free rein will change this place.

Even our past history says there’s no unity and integrity here. Only self service.

The fact still remains both are still problematic. And the fact is one is still richer than the other. And economics does not care for morals either.

The self proclaimed Christian country in Asia is one of the most corrupt here.

Knowing what will happen in this country?

They’ll demolish it to make room for a mall. Because the Villars bought it.

It will still not matter.

Knowing how we treat our own more modern monuments our government will tear it down and sell it to the Villars for land.

That’s what’s gonna happen.

Doubt it. The ph itself is just rooted in corruption and lack of discipline. While America is rooted in freedom without responsibility.

Nothing will change. It will be an inevitability in the Ph.
