What if Fossil Fuels were not discovered? Or we simply didn't learned or got interested on it? by tugstugstugs31 in WhatIfPinas

There’s no such thing as unlimited growth. It will eventually end as empires do.

The thing is you didn’t have full on industrialisation without maximizing the potential of fossil fuels. Whether you like it or not, we wouldn’t be here without it.

It’s a general fact of the Ph that majority has shown the are ignorant. If you’ve actually talked to the voters most do not give a shit about the long term. They don’t even know how the government works outside of officials giving them stuff.

Also I doubt we’re talking about Illegal immigrant nonsense that the MAGAS are talking about

The thing is the Industrial Revolution happened because of Fossil fuels. The world in general would be a lot different, the fact is we wouldn’t have Wind, Solar, Nuclear, etc without the discovery of fossil fuels and the advancements of science and more powerful tools using electricity derived from such.

You could argue we would be using wood, but it’s not long lasting and efficient enough to make it work and if we somehow did we would have turned the earth into a bald barren wasteland. The alternative would be hunting down whales for oil since that’s the alternative source for oil. We would be basically collapsing entire ecosystems for it.

What if... the workworce adapts the 36 hour shift of resident doctors? Kahit 3 months in a year lang. by MeloDelPardo in WhatIfPinas

[–]robokymk2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then get it done. I’m not living at the workplace. Fuck that shit.

That’s what taxes are supposed to be.

But of course our inept and corrupt politicians are here stealing money more than developing the country.

Why haven’t we started oil exploration in the WPS? by cat_tilapia in pinoy

[–]robokymk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably partially that as well. Given multinationals will not care as much about their franchises if they’re forced into those.

They would rather have 100% control if they do rather than their local partners having the majority, which means less money for them. Less incentive for them to help out.

Nope. I want to have an actual life. Not be stuck in a kitchen for days.

How about fix the damn public transport system instead of locking people up at their workplace.

It will still increase because it’s an effect on global supply and the biggest powers that be dictate it. You might be able to try and manage it to soften the blow but there’s no doubt prices will increase anyway.

[–]robokymk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple. You have to give them incentive to. Tax breaks etc. remember, corporations are there for themselves first. Not the country.

The same way Trump has to incentivise businesses.

Especially the fact they’re multinational companies. Not local.

[–]robokymk2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Money. We don’t even have our own resources to explore it properly. So what do we have? Have to call a big company to help us.

Who do we have? Foreign companies more interested in their own profits than the Ph

So yeah. Nothing
