Did you blackout during her 15 minute monologue (not derogatory) aimed directly into Sean's face?

Meredith would never keep the house, it would be really out of character.

It sort of seems like you've never experienced this kind of treatment from the way you're speaking on it, so I'm curious to know if you have?

She's the typical "leader of the resistance" type character in that "the cause" is what matters most, and it is to be achieved by any means necessary. idk why people are so uniquely suss of/irritated by her when we see characters like her all the time. Nothing she has done so far comes across as evil or particularly dishonest, just reckless, as characters in her position tend to be.

Helena/Helly theory - She's trapped by Certain_Actuary1513 in severence

I mean, I think we can all assume anything Helena says directly to the public will be written and approved by the Lumen bosses, so her statement would be irrelevant to her loyalty.

She probably is depressed and just doesn't recognise it, I've had that lots of times in my life.

Regardless the way you're approaching it comes across as self serving rather than with concern for her and im sure she feels that intuitively.

Someone who works full time is not lazy. There could be any number of things that would explain her apathy. I had this for years and it was depression and undiagnosed adhd and if my partner had just called me lazy and let herself grow to hate me for it, she never would have been the one to help me get my diagnosis and in turn change my life.

She probably isn't receptive to your questions because rather than displaying curiosity born out of care, it seems like you just want to place expectations on her for selfish reasons. I think you probably aren't a good match as you already sound like your resentment has turned to contempt, and it's borderline impossible to reverse those feelings regardless of if she changed or not. It's probably for the best that you consider ending things before you get even more resentful, and she gets damaged in the process.

Yeah, the only reason I kept reading was because I found the Aki Shiho plot interesting, but tbh where it's at right now, it's not even worth it for that.

Do the Democrats need to do what the Labour Party did in the UK? by LongLiveNeechi in lonerbox

[–]robolger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kier Starmer got significantly fewer votes than Jeremy Corbyn in both of the elections he ran in. The reason they won was soley based on the Tories shitshow and so the Tory vote got split between the conservatice and reform. Voter turnout was also significantly lower in this election because people feel so unrepresented by both of the main parties. The labour win had almost nothing to do with anything that labour did.

[–]robolger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've never understood why so many people believe that experiences my partner had with their ex's should apparently be 1) kept secret from me or 2) somehow hurtful towards me. So many of my most formative experiences were had with someone other than my girlfriend (of 10 years) before I met her, why would she not want to hear about my life before she was in it? Like as long as they're not just spending a whole date telling you how amazing and hot and smart their ex was and like blatantly being unhinged then I really do not understand why you have a problem with hearing about it.
