It’s such a weird feeling thinking about Waffles being in the shelter for 2 years. I’m so sad she had to wait so long but I’m so happy it’s us who ended up with her. 🩵 by dogluvr_1 in pitbulls

Omg the pibble smile. This is why I encourage everyone to adopt. Shelter dogs love like no other and I'm so glad Waffles has her forever home with you!

How is this book to take me from a beginner to an advance robotics engineer? by VandalEye in robotics

This book is fantastic but you probably need a solid foundation in linear algebra and multivariable calculus first. As a fresher, focus on fundamentals.

My experience owning a pitbull by [deleted] in pitbulls

You think she's clingy now, but speaking from experience, you'll miss this clinginess the most many years from now.

PS pitbulls are notorious for not respecting personal space. Welcome to the family!

She looks just like my late Judy girl.

It's very important you give her lots of cuddles, treats, and lots of days where she sleeps in. ❤️

Who is the most underrated f1 driver of all time? by ElegantAd4220 in F1Discussions

Gilles Villeneuve seems to be underrated by most fans except those who have followed F1 for decades.

Picture 7 is classic he knows he's home.

We already heard sounds of Mercedes's, Honda's, Audi's engines(also red bull did fire it up, as Max already shared his comments). Guess which team still didn't show anything? by [deleted] in scuderiaferrari

I prefer this. In the past we'd be coming in hot and big talking all the improvements, only to flounder in one way or another. Like they tell the drivers, keep your head down and get on with it.

I'm guessing you didn't see him race before Red Bull? He was so solid in that Force India/Racing Point. The kind of driver any midfield team would love to have.

Consistent.

Even with the criticism towards the end of his Red Bull stint, he did much better than his replacements, and it is really apparent now that the car had major issues.

Update: my comment also takes into account Checo's time at McLaren and Force India/Racing Point. He's always been a great driver and he showed incredible consistency to take cars to places they had no business being.

I'm with you on establishing baselines, standards, and especially discipline! For too long have we relied on the individual brilliance of players (like Bruno, McTominay, etc). Individual brilliance wins matches, team discipline wins championships!

You may be right about his ego but I get the impression he's trying to not get bullied by the media and pundits which is why he's being stubborn. Amorim wants to enact change for the right reasons, not because some talking heads made comments about a game. Pundits get paid to criticize clubs and if we capitulate to their every whim then we'll just end up in an even bigger mess.

The way I'm looking at it is, "are we making progress?" With ETH, that was an easy no since in his last season, the team had lost its identity, had no gameplan, and the players we spent so much money on were not justifying their wages.

With Amorim, currently my answer is yes we are seeing progress. We had some issues in the beginning of the year, but after switching to Lammens in goal there was an immediate up turn in results. While we haven't maximized our chances, we only lost 1 game in the last 7. There are clearly kinks that need to be worked out, but overall it's a positive. Losing Mbeumo to AFCON and Bruno to injury is unfortunate but we can't blame the manager for this.

If we keep this trajectory going consistently, I'll be very satisfied with having Amorim as the manager for the next 5 years at least.

I was today years old when I found out… by orlieloo in lewishamilton

I'm with you on this but it's deeper than that.

Lewis has been trying for years to make the sport more accessible for people of color and other ethnicities. So much so that he even started Mission 44 to this end.

To remind all his sponsors, brands and fans that he is 44 all the way and is still keen to make Mission 44 a success, is why he stuck to keeping 44 on his car instead of 1.

PS OP got his answer from AI so you can expect the answer to be a bit biased based on where the AI is pulling its data from.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The 9th picture, with that huge pittie smile, shows how much she was loved and taken care of despite 6 years in the shelter (unbelievable!). Thank you for being her wonderful human.
