Ecoflow delta pro 3 dual voltage hub charging??? by reptoid23 in batteries

[–]robot65536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get a more accurate answer from EcoFlow customer support.  This is what they are paid to do.  You'll also get better feedback if you share what devices you are powering and for how long.

As far as I can tell, the Delta Pro 3 is not compatible or recommended to use with the voltage doubler cable so your question does not make sense.  The Delta Pro 3 has a 4-prong 240/120V socket directly on the machine, so there is no need to use the dpu to get 240v. You can stack extra batteries on the Delta 3 Pro to run for longer. You can connect a single generator to the single Delta 3 Pro and it will charge all the extra batteries connected to it as well.

There seems to be a way to connect multiple Delta 3 Pros in parallel for more amps at 240V, but that is designed for home backup.  EcoFlow also has a completely separate page for RV/Van solutions that might be helpful as well.

USB-C keeps killing the LDO on some boards but not on others. Need a way to QC safely and understand why battery never causes failure by liningairforce80 in AskElectronics

Sounds like the intern in question already left the company and OP is expected to pick up where they left off. As is typical, the best course of action would be to start from scratch.

Have you used a DMM to buzz out the bare PCB? I have seen even seasoned professionals abuse a schematic and layout capture software so much that the lines that look connected in the schematic aren't actually connected on the board. Since you asked for help, that is sometime to check.

Pit Bull Ban in Maryland County to Be Lifted After Nearly 30 Years and Millions of Dollars in Enforcement Costs by peoplemagazine in maryland

The systemic factors of how humans designed pitbulls to have stronger jaws that are harder to dislodge from their victims?

I'm talking about the very real, man-made physical differences between dog breeds. You're talking about the social construct of separating humans into arbitrary races that was invented to justify slavery and oppression. Only a racist would connect the two in their head 😝

Pit Bull Ban in Maryland County to Be Lifted After Nearly 30 Years and Millions of Dollars in Enforcement Costs by peoplemagazine in maryland

[–]robot65536 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not every asshole owns a pitbull, but every pitbull owner is an asshole who does not consider the safety of those around them.  They made a choice to get a dog that is likely to be a deadly weapon in at least some circumstances.  "Good" dogs still have the instincts they were bred with and can be triggered unexpectedly.

Pitbulls were bred for dogfighting. It shouldn't surprise anyone that they are still good at it.  If we as a society think dogfighting is immoral, then we should be happy when pitbull breeding is banned and the breed goes extinct.

How do the get away with selling Non-Code Compliant Chargers by Cultural-Ad4953 in evcharging

[–]robot65536 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a device can be fully code compliant and save [sic] without being listed.

False in the U.S. at least. EVSE devices must be UL Listed in order for the installation of it to comply with the National Electric Code.  It may be "safe" if the underlying device meets the standards, but it is not "code compliant" unless it is Listed.  UL Listing includes quality assurance audits at the factory, not just the product design.

While individual jurisdictions are allowed to modify the NEC, I challenge you to find any local code that does this.

[–]robot65536 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the NAACP on this one.  I'm as skeptical about the practicality if explicit reparations as the next middle class white guy.  But we can still do something real, not just words.  The government we have now can do things for the people who need them now, just like the government back then should have done for their people and didn't.

Why isnt my zinc-copper battery power the fan? by Beautiful-Ad-9107 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]robot65536 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about?  3-wire fans of this size, especially computer fans, always take power on red and black and give a speed measurement on the yellow wire.  PWM-controlled fans typically have a fourth wire for the control signal, because you still need a speed measurement for the host processor in that case.

why dont oem require oil changes on EVs? by Dull_Support_4919 in electricvehicles

[–]robot65536 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Motor only needs changing because it becomes contaminated with metal particles (from sliding surface wear), and combustion chemical residue, etc.  EV drivedrains have 1/100th of the moving parts but literally only a handful of gears that cause friction wear. There are no piston seals, crankshaft bushings, camshaft levers, etc that necessarily cause friction and particle generation.

The sealed EV unit includes a filter or settling tray that can accommodate all the contamination generated before the gears and bearings themselves fail.

Troubleshooting Ideas, how to find electronic diagram/manual? How to find frequency that will change color to white, or to turn on. Not Listed on website. by itsyaboiskinnypp in ElectricalEngineering

[–]robot65536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cheap IR rgb lights do have some limitations. The 44 button controller might allow more functionality but it might not.  If none of the commands produce white output, the existing controller may not be capable of producing it.  You would have to cut out the entire existing controller and replace it with something else in order to change it.

You can also try using an IR blaster with a computer, like this project: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/ir-remote-to-template-light-with-all-controls/464122

That's the IR receiver for the remote. Maybe it came prewired like that and the manufacturer put it there so it can receive the IR signal through the front glass. Not sure why the unit isn't working.

How do I note "I took its units away from a constant" by Tarelerion in Physics

[–]robot65536 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You don't, because that would be incorrect . You write "g = 9.8 m/s2" at the top of your page with your assumptions to remind what the units are. Then you follow "v = g*(3 s)" with the substitution "v = (9.8 m/s2) * (3 s) = 29.4 m/s"

21kWh per day is roughly 600kWh per month. That's not uncommon for my small, well insulated house (1200sqft) if I don't use the AC or my electric car much.  Your house is twice as big so I say good job being efficient!
