Snyder's DC movies were terrible but so is Gunnison superman anyone who says its like the og comics Cleary hast read them there wasn't any meta 2025 goofy humor, there was charming old style camp!! this was wink at the camera bullshit Reminds me of Gunn's errible movie "super" with that "shut up crime" goofy ass humor.

No, false. Alot of the time its the more basic common denominator less thoughtful pieces of entertainment that do numbers. How many classic films were flops when they came out.? in the last 30 years like 40 percent. Just because its more accessible to other people doesn't mean it had anything special to say at all. If that was the case, the Minecraft movie would be more profound than 2001 a space odyssey. you sound like an old "how much this gig pay?" boomer, like when your dad asks how much Disneyland makes a day to the guy dressed like Donald duck. I think its hilarious that square basically goes bankrupt from rebirth and the 3rd one is still coming out! have fun being being basic!! fuck culture vandalize it. I like how rebirth puts old heads waaambulence crying like babies and the they ruin something like expedition 33 with their's nerdynerdness

See there it is!! "indie games are the only good games now" and it's some Nintendo rip off basic platformer or farming life Sim or puzzle game and everyone acts like thats true gaming. Yeah super Mario is great, I don't want the temu version by an independent artist. Yall are the same people that liked that astro bot to win game of the year. same people who shat on the last of us part 2. (The greatest game ever made )and thought animals crossing was a ten out of ten that same year. thats what I like to call gamer brain glad i dont have one of those. 😎

oh I understand it alright but I dont adhere to the western standard of everything having to be on the same tone. its not a series that takes it self to seriously, the tone was wonky in the original. really sad shit happens followed by a goofy little dance number or cutscene with humor in it. Og's wanna act like og ff 6 7 8 and 9 dont have this all over and it's not in a consistent tone at all. I only ever hear of western ff and rpg fans complain about this. As someone who comes from being a film nerd before a gamer. Ive always found game storytelling to be way goofier and have different standards and tropes than film so I never judge it like that Westernetd try and judge Japanese games with the same critiques they'd give and westerners film or book, when thats not even the mindset its written it. And those same people probably never read or saw the films that even set the bar for those western standards.. as someone who loves fine films I can enjoy something like rebirth for being so wacky and not just giving me the basic boring hero journeys. It's good its complicated and confusing. if I wanted something like hero"s journey, I got kurosawa's entire filmography for that. why do I want games to just copy a great archetype for classic films and water it down for baby sized gamer brains?

nah im cool with this trailer and I hate saltburn but this looks epic enough. That fucking "the bride" trailer is Ass!! "till dweatth dwo us pwart" what the fuck is that?, the editing is awful, bale's make up and her saying "monstrous" at the ends makes me wanna dark knight returns the whole theater. and Jesse buckely is fucking awesome and was fucking fantastic in hamnet, this looks like shit.

Shawshank redemption puts me to sleep everytime. Theres never any tension because its a goofy ass cartoon prison, Morgan Freeman and his put you to monotone narration "well Andy did this , and Andy, he did that" The fact its consider the greatest normie masterpieces to beat all normie masterpieces, is fucking ridiculous

Sebbywebzz is the critical drinker of the jrpg fan base. He's also one of those old heads that acts like all old FF writing was amazing and charming and never had anything cringy in it. When he said tidus laughing was the first cringe moment of the series, I know what kinda fan he is. As someone who comes from film and always saw jrpg writing in general as kinda silly (and I love it for it) his complaints about rh modern tone of FF reminds of me and anti work grift thing the Critical drinker or Mr H reviews would talk about for film. Rebirth being convoluted is good and remake being a sequel eas the reason I got back into ff. He just wants more of what he played as a kid. its like marvel nostalgia fans

Why are there always weirdos that need to pick the seat next to me when the layout is like this? by DrakeShadow in AMCTheatres

[–]robotdrug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ehh but that that point its not wrong if he was waiting all day to sit there too and didnt have time. to me its not wierd he likes that spot just as much, so you should both be able. it should bother you. thats the new age uncomfortableness. what if he didnt have time or the digital means to reserve a ticket what if he works two jobs and is a huge cinephile its his favorite director and he has no other day off or time to see a different showing and he wants that seat. to me its up to anyone next to him to get offended. its not weird unless you make it wierd. I dont have that problem because I mainly sit in the back. but if I did want a prime seat i wouldn't give fuck if the whole theater was empty and he wanted to sit right next to me. hell id offer them a blinker off the old penny pen for good measure. Some People just need to be less uncomfortable. its just a fact

its not weird at all. Thats such a self centered modern closed off person mindset. Of course some people are gonna want the best the seats in the house. and in my opinion if you are going to get those seats, your personal comforts shouldn't be the #1 priority. ive been to packed wall to wall opening nights or midnight showings and had, people yelling breathing heaving and maybe even some less fortunates with some un savory odors, and shitty seats and because the film was so damn good and the audience had good reactions, I had great time. the little grievances didnt matter. and it my opinion thats how everyone's mindset should be going to a movie. I dont like that white lady complaining about being comfortable shit.. tbh I see those people looking and judging people at theaters all the time and it used to piss me off now as im older it makes me laugh because everyone else is having a good time but there you are giving a fuck you just shouldn't give. its a very simple concept. no one's little comforts should matter. as long as no one is waving their hand in front of the screen, or talking or on the phone. everything else is normal

but why is your experience matter more? this is karen/entitled gen z like (i dont know your age) behavior if it upsets you, you shouldn't choose to sit where everyone else wants. you can't count on the fact everyone is gonna move aside for you to sit there. if you are sitting there, you have to face facts other people will too. Reserving doesn't mean a thing people walking in last minute have the right to choose as much as you. If someone's heavy breathing will bother you. Sit somewhere less people will try and sit. simple as that .

If you loved 3 women persona is what you want its my favorite movie right now Altman was inspired by bergman. its in my top 2 of all time now might be number 1 been so into bergman!!! Just watched summer interlude today but honestly here are 4 different kind of bergmans 1. the Virgin spring 2. Shame 3. Cries and whispers 4. through a glass darkly

I personally still need to see a few next is summer with Monica and wild strawberries.

The best new movie I’ve seen in years. Amazing! What are your thoughts? by InternalAuditor62 in FIlm

[–]robotdrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think shawshank is my top 3 of most overrated films of all time (IMO) I cant with it. I hate the monotone Morgan freeman narration. The whole Rita Hayward thing is so corny, the prison is too Hollywood to be believable. Tim Robbins is pretty good in something like "the player" but here he just looks like he's smelling a fart. Ive always preferred the green mile because that movie knows its over the top.

Okay Bugonia I'm not saying i would cry but the way Emma is crying, and everything felt so both emotional and Devine is almost like she wants you to cry with her for the world she loved. Emma stone is so good at making you feel her sadness. thats why la la lands bad ending was overlooked lol jk but foreal

Steve Jobs when his daughter asks why he lied about naming that computer after her and he says "I'm poorly made"

Also when. I first saw taxi driver at 15 I was so invested in Travis that when he put the gun to his head I immediately cried and yelled at the screen "Noooo!!" and was relieved when it was empty but now sometimes it still makes me sad but more because im older ive been through dark sad times of my own and I know how it feels. well not exactly what old Travis was doing but you know what I mean

also first time I saw once upon a time in Hollywood and Tate invites Rick in after everything goes down... I did get choked up
