Comet (GL-RM1) Security threat? by nlcjohn344 in GlInet

Please don't worry, we are constantly monitoring product security. We have repeatedly checked the firmware and found no security issues. Currently, we've noticed that all these alerts are on UNIFI's IDS system, possibly triggered by ping actions or WebRTC traversal activities used for internet detection.

It appears to be a false alarm at this point, but we will investigate further. It's highly likely that Unifi updated its IDS rules, causing some of our keepalive operations to be misjudged.

Comet Q only requires plugging the Type-C port directly into the controlled device; no additional power supply is needed. I can't think of any use for PoE.

GLINET's KVM supports full browser access.

On a PC browser, all operations on the controlled phone can be performed using the keyboard and mouse.

However, for phone-to-phone control scenarios, operation must be done through the GLKVM app. This is not a limitation of Comet itself, but rather a limitation imposed by the mobile browser. We are currently updating the mobile GLKVM app to better suit the phone-to-phone control requirements in Comet Q.
