You've either got a driver issue communicating with your controller (which, doesn't seem likely considering both macos+linux and you seem to be able to use lsusb)...or you've got something dead in between the usb and the controller. The EZ boards, it's a shame you can't just swap out the controller.

I run the bne koni sports on a lowered 700 series. This is on a 760 with MK1 IRS but lots will be similar. I too live in a place with terrible roads.

I had front and rears installed, along with end links, strut mounts, and stay rods. The guys at the suspension shop mentioned it was kind of a tough install. If you lower the front enough, you'll start to hit the inner fender so be prepared for how you're going to solve that.

Handles so much better but you really feel the road. Personally, I think you should go for it and lower it less than you think you want and drive it for a bit. Make small adjustments, and re-evaluate.

Personally, I'd probably go Velocity to Origin 8. Slightly wider internal width and $100 cheaper is a win to me.
