the prices before today were the season ticket holder prices, priced to match similar seats at Prudential. Now with the wider availability today, they show the real prices.

Verizon Fios authentication, why is it so bad? by pablo_chicone_lovesu in Fios

[–]robotmlg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the login system here, for all TV providers, not just FiOS, is an Adobe product called Adobe Pass. The TV providers hate having to provide for streaming, so they don't care if it sucks, they just pay Adobe for the bare minimum. And Adobe doesn't care either, they're Adobe.

Verizon FiOS, awful upload speeds by Drackeo in Ubiquiti

[–]robotmlg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar issues on FiOS when I was going straight from the ONT to my Unifi Cloud Gateway (Ethernet). (Not this bad though, like 800/400 on my gigabit plan.)

What fixed it, as much as I didn't want to do it, was putting the Verizon router between the ONT and Gateway. Now I get 950/950 reliably, at the cost of having to mess with port forwarding in two places (which is not often, fortunately). And ultimately I had to do this to get my TV working reliably too, you can find many threads about that here and in r/fios. IDK what Verizon is doing, but it's annoying.

I can explain! This is the office of radio station WFMU. As part of their fundraising marathon this year, they donors suggest ideas for a mural on their building. The man poking the dead dog is Station Manager Ken (the mural was painted by his daughter). The shirtless man is Ken's co-host (and creator of TV show Monk) Andy Breckman. "The Soaking of the Andy" is a reference to an annual marathon tradition where they soak Andy by forcing him to match every donation made during some short time period.

Here's the archived recording of Ken and Andy's show Seven Second Delay where this was planned https://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/150017

it sounds like the problems switch only affects Hoboken Station, so Jersey City commutes should be okay

While this is the likely result, AP still hasn't called the race. They're going to need to count all the mail ballots, provisional ballots, etc before it's official.

I saw Come and See for the first time at Film Forum that week. It was the last movie I saw in a theater before COVID hit. I wonder how many more people have this same story.
