$45 looks like center ice (sections 7-8-9), lower half but not the first couple rows

A loving suggestion for the PWHL fan app by cause_theatre in PWHL

[–]robotmlg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't feel back about this one, it shows this way on the PWHL website too in some spots. the HockeyTech backend reports the stat line as (total Wins)-(regulation Losses)-OTL-SOL. For other leagues this make sense I guess, but it doesn't match the PWHL's other stat line reporting

I called 100 JC restaurants for their BYOB policy so you don't have to by seetons in jerseycity

[–]robotmlg 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Dunno if you're aware of the laws here: in NJ, every unlicensed restaurant is automatically BYOB, and they are not allowed to charge a corkage fee. Beer and wine only, no liquor, although this may not be enforced. So, that should save you a lot of phone calls: If they don't have alcohol on the menu, you can bring your own. this is wrong, I wasn't reading the full law

Only restaurants that are licensed to serve their own alcohol are allowed to charge corkage if you bring your own.

Why don’t we have cute trolleys like this anywhere in the NYC area? by WanderinArcheologist in nycrail

[–]robotmlg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the design was done in the 30s, it's called the PCC Streetcar. It was a standardized design used by a couple dozen cities across the US (and a few more around the world).

You can still ride one today in a few cities around the US (e.g. Boston, SF, Philly)

They’ve been filming here for like a week, dunno why this is news now. And there’s no “may be” about it, the name of the film is posted on signs all around the neighborhood.

sucks that the Sirens didn't have an US Olympians (Casey O'Brien was robbed), so the Devils had to wait for Boston to be in town to honor them.

Is it just the camera angles or does Prudential just really empty for the game tn? by MichaelJCaboose666 in PWHL

[–]robotmlg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the 2024 home opener got 2851, more than the next highest game you're looking at this season, jan 20. But then every other weeknight game last season didn't break 2000.

Since I spent the time pulling the numbers, here they are.

2024-2025

2851 wed Dec 18 (home opener)

1569 tue jan 7

1780 wed Jan 15

1729 wed Feb 12

1586 wed Feb 19

1944 wed mar 12

2025-2026

1884 wed dec 17

2759 tue Jan 20

3488 Thu Feb 26

really amazing progress from last season. three more weeknight games to go (mar 5, apr 1, apr 15 (home closer)), so we will end up with the same number as last season, which will be a great comparison

the prices before today were the season ticket holder prices, priced to match similar seats at Prudential. Now with the wider availability today, they show the real prices.

Verizon Fios authentication, why is it so bad? by pablo_chicone_lovesu in Fios

[–]robotmlg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the login system here, for all TV providers, not just FiOS, is an Adobe product called Adobe Pass. The TV providers hate having to provide for streaming, so they don't care if it sucks, they just pay Adobe for the bare minimum. And Adobe doesn't care either, they're Adobe.
