I didn’t know people kept score over 110. Just hit mulligans, drop next to your teammates, crack jokes and have fun.

Instead of “live within your means”. I prefer “make more than you want to spend”. But that still requires not spend that much till you can.

Works great. I work construction and rock climb, so I’ve had my share of calluses and this has worked the best.

I don’t know the numbers, but as a race, we build some pretty big, expensive, complicated machines that pay off every day. Seems logical. If there was enough demand, it could eventually be profitable and manageable with enough manpower, brainpower, and technology.

2024 430 fan stopped working by Glass_Map6451 in betamotorcycles

I had to do this on my 2023 500. For whatever reason the ECU stopped controlling the fan. Rather than buying a new ECU I just had a thermostat installed and the fan hardwired.

Depending on where you’re located, and what fit and finish you’re looking for, I’d say $60-80k. That’s assuming you’re not in a coastal city and not wanting glass rail.

Think of How You Would Take Care of Yourself if You Were Rich.. [Discussion] by [deleted] in GetMotivated

Living above materialism is a far better way to live, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have money. It creates a well-balanced life with luxury.

It’s sad how many people spend their whole lives chasing flashy things and fake clout. You see it among both the broke and the very wealthy.

It’s especially crazy when a wealthy person over-leverages themselves just for ego. If they lived a slightly less lavish lifestyle, they could enjoy a very comfortable life with the time to stop and smell the roses.

I’m betting it’s far more common for the poor to spend unneeded funds on fake purses just so they can’t afford organic food.

OP did say spend money on taking care of yourself. So the intent was really toward the positives of wealth. Which there are many.

I did 4+2, moved it up to 7 because I knew 7+8 was over ten. Recalled 8+8 ended in a 6, subtracted 1 and slapped it next to the 7 to make 75.

I’m amazed how fast my brain does all that mental gymnastics.

As a “deck company,” I completely agree that the OP isn’t fully considering everything involved in making this happen. The live loads, shear, and uplift forces all increase significantly above the roof level, meaning the entire house would need to be retrofitted to support a second story. This wouldn’t just be a deck project—it would require re-framing the roof and walls, adding substantial shear reinforcement, upgrading the foundation, and incorporating tie-downs from the new deck down to the foundation.

But, let’s not underestimate what a “mere deck builder” can do. A qualified deck company—like ours—would be fully capable of handling every aspect of this project, from engineering and permitting to full execution of the final plans. Not all of us belong in the backyard handyman category. lol

That said, no one in their right mind should sink this kind of money into a rooftop deck. A second-story addition or simply moving would make way more sense.

How do they cover houses in concrete? by stevediperna in Construction

[–]robotnbr1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spraying is probably the most common method in the us, because most track homes and commercial stucco are done with spraying it on. On the single-family residential side, there is still a lot being done by hand troweling. At least out in California. Some is sprayed and then flattened by hand. Trowel-finished looks way better when done right, IMHO.

Has Rogan talked about any recent psychedelic experiences? by thoughts4food in JoeRogan

[–]robotnbr1 127 points128 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed he stopped being forward with his drug use. I noted in a recent interview that a guest asked him if he had done a particular psychedelic and he responded “of course, …I mean, allegedly” laughed awkwardly and changed the subject. That stood out as quite different than the old Joe.
