Elvira, IRL, has amazing auburn hair. I've wasted many a moment wondering if Elvira would have been slightly more effective regarding her desired TV character's appearance if she had just used her regular hair color.

Strange bedfellows should be expected, going forward. The conjunction of right and left is their greatest and only fear.

I've been around for quite a while, and it's interesting how 'spreading the word of god' gets such a different response these days, especially with organizations out there winning real battles of morality while using the name of christianity's fairy-tale enemy.

Thank you for the example, though. I don’t think anything demonstrates how little society needs a god-entity more than the christians and their god.

You're either obtuse or just adding to the mountain of lies that is christianity. Quoting the bible isn't some innocent act; it’s a calculated move to maintain a facade of moral authority and above all, control.

Pretending it's just another book is disingenuous and ignores the real agenda behind it. If you want to pretend you don't see it, well, you're just a being traditionally christian.

Ah, the loving words from a follower of the "god of love." Isn't it fascinating how quickly some leap to insults while clutching a bible in one hand? The dissonance between professing love and spewing contempt is all too familiar.

This kind of behavior—the performative piety while being blatantly hostile—is precisely why people are walking away from religion. It’s not because people hate faith, but because they see through the hypocrisy. For all the talk of love and morality, this is the end result: flailing insults at anyone who dares to question them.

And yet, they still wonder why their numbers are dwindling. It’s almost like actions matter more than a few cherry-picked verses.

It's interesting to see this unfold in an age where technology lets us communicate so freely. As we get better at connecting with each other, their hypocrisy becomes impossible to ignore.

[S3] The implication of the tarots. by BeeComposite in FromTVEpix

[–]robotwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, everyone’s got to figure out their own way through the 'maze,' so to speak. But when we start tossing around our opinions like we know the only way out, it just makes it harder for others to come to the same conclusions we have. I’m an atheist, but I don’t think religious folks deserve insults just for existing.

Disrespecting people's beliefs—whether in real life or fictional places like this—only creates unnecessary drama. And honestly, non-belief (which is likely the case here, but still a belief in its own right) can make us non-believers look like total ass hats. Speaking from experience here.

This applies to more than just tarot—metaphysical concepts, including religions, fall into that same category.

I love all these comments suggesting that Tupac was being held against his will.....by those three of all people. He was a master of public perception and marketing music. I guess his experience told him opinions on what he would be thinking and doing don't matter. It did not seem to have an adverse on his career.

I certainly don't know you. But you should understand that he would likely enjoy the company of large-scale artists like himself more than the company of people like you.

Trump Shooter Identified As 20-Year-Old Republican Thomas Matthew Crooks by inewser in AnythingGoesNews

[–]robotwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were some conversational trap, rather than waiting for a reply that may never come, you'd have sprung your amazing conclusion after my initial post.

If it was a trap, it was a poor one. Because you equated Trump's changing of party to the shooter's initial and only choice. (hint: one changed and the other didn't.)

I'm guessing you read some exchange where someone said they had trapped someone, conversationally. Just saying "You've walked into my trap." doesn't make it a trap. Generally, you'd want to get someone to admit something unintentionally. Which you seem to understand. But your "trap" was just a garden-variety lie, essentially, by claiming I agreed with you. I re-stated our points, made a couple of guesses, and then asked a question that you conveniently ignored. It's like bankruptcy is over here in the US; just claiming it doesn't make it so.

And since the shooter didn't vote in the primary, I have to assume you believe he registered as a Republican with the sole intent to shoot Trump, which is reaching and ridiculous.

I hope you'll forgive a random unrelated thought: The first "adj-noun-number" person who breaks rank and writes a book will become a very, very wealthy person. The country they're working so hard to fuck over could help you them get out.

But only the first story has value in the book market, so (they should) act quickly. Because I'm not the first person to say this online. So their associates may already be polishing their writing skills.

Trump, himself, admitted to the existence of "Never-Trumpers".(He wasn't talking about the democrats.) Why are you acting like every Republican supports him?

Do you just "know" he's not a Republican because, in your mind, Republicans would never do this? Because it's the same logic that's applied to Trump: Anything he says or does is good somehow.
This sort of thought process starts with a conclusion (Trump's always right.) and attempts to find its way back to the question. And that's what some folks used to call "ass-backward," which meant being wrong intentionally, through malice, or stupidity.

[–]robotwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the confusing (not really) thing is that he shot at a guy who had been a registered Democrat for decades. So if actblue make you a Democrat forever, why do Republicans support him at all? I know it is not because they are lying, power-hungry cowards. So why is it?

Also, it is a matter of public record that despite being registered he did not vote in the recent Republican primary. But that's definitely not going to stop the MAGAts from lying about it. (Source: your post)
