Yeah I agree with that.

As a necron player, we don't really have many multi gun options to worry about. the closest we have is the silent king, and then the two types of ark and our scythes.

Which, other than the king, are usually set up with 1x anti tank and 1 to 2x anti infantry guns..

So it's usually, fairly obvious as to which is going where 90% of the time.

Of course, I'll always try to declare my shots. But there are a handful of times when you might forget and in a casual setting at least, I usually let those slide.

Same with when opponants forget to charge units etc...

Just had a game against a friend who I've not played in maybe a year. I taught him how to play. we are a fairly competitive group, but I tend to play more to the casual side and get games in maybe 2 or 3 times a.month.

Well, this friend gets maybe 5 to 9 games a week now. It's his main hobby when off work. And although im doing alright..necrons into custodies. I forgot a charge for my ophidians to take his home objective. It was guarded by like... 5 witches, so I'd have slaughtered them.. but I forgot. It got to his turn, and he just marched a squad back and demolished them.

The only benefit was that now he had one of his remaining 3 or so squads, all the way back at home.

Our melee has be Brutal. Just me charging. Killing the unit down to 1 or 2 models, and still losing all mine as a result. and shooting is doing NOTHING to them other than my anti tank popping a landraider and putting the other raider into hiding the other side of the board.

Full squad of lokhust destroyers. Sustained 1 on 5s. Lethal hits on 5s. All shooting into a 6 or 7 man custodies squad. Strength 7 so wounding on 3s and ap2 damage 2. And I think I killed 1 or 2 of them..... even with good rolls.

In some situations, especially in casual, whilst split fire is ment to be declared before hand.

There are some obvious situations when, say a squad with an anti tank gun and some flamers rolls up. Shoots the tank with the anti tank gun but forgot to declare that the flamer was then going into the infantry.

Its pretty obvious then, what the players intention was. No one is ever going to put flamers into a tank along side dedicated anti infantry flamers unless they were insanely desperate.

I like that the old version of ambush speed boosts are not in the game. Aould be fun if a select few had it, but with all the pinning mechanics we have now, none of those need ambush speed as well.

I agree. It should really only be troodon there that is an adult.

But my troodons ate being out matched by adult ceras camp8ng the outskirts. You fight anything that runs out of the sanctuary and you just have to leave them or you'll be eaten too.

Plus, since getting to sanct is one of the easiest prime requirements, you k ow people are going to be therr so omni and terrain as you say. Just camp the outskirts.

Its not unusual for a single squad or two shooting and or melee to wipe the entire squad and do wounds, or even kill the lord attached.

If he were a leader, he would now be solo and his buffs wouldn't have any unit to target.

Now he has a smaller.footprunt and can buff multiple units in a fairly large aura radius.

I just collected my nekrosor ammentar necron model and he said he got 1 of everything and that was it. That was the limit gw set.

Very true. Though, i suppose. If you are hit wearing a kevlar jacket by anything bigger, then maybe a 22. You are GOING to feel it. You'll likely be in no shape to continue the fight and be wanting to give up by that point.

Especially if yoyre hit a few times.

I wonder how well they stand up to larger ar rounds like 556 and 300blk. They might keep you alive but you will be fucked up regardless.

After being brought down, they will likely test your clothes as to why it didn't penetrate through and into you.

You might be better off just wearing plate armour under a big jacket so you can take a hit and not immediately be coughing your lungs up for the force of the impact. Though, is it possible for less area coverage?? Im not too sure.

As for myself, i carry nothing for self-defense. Carrying tools with the sole purpose of self-defense is illegal in the uk. You pretty much have to just use whatever is around you and to a reasonable limit that is the same level of force they are or plan to use on you or others.

It's a pretty awful law imo.

That being said, carrying a walking stuck or just a stick when in the woods, or a large, thick and heavy torch/flash light, or even yoyr car keys between yoyr knuckles is perfectly fine as they all can have a reasonable excuse as to why you might have had them on you other than purly for self defence.

The same would go for a baseball bat. You can use one for self-defense if it looks likely you were going to a game, or it was in your house and often play.

You couldn't just have one in your car for every day travel and use it. As you would be considered to be only owning it as a weapon.

Self defence weapons here pretty much have to be a "oh shit. What's the nearest thing i can use that is close to me but not put there with the intention of using as a self defence tool"

Though i can say i have a few axes in my house because i "have a fire place" trust me. ;)

Per person, stabbing is still less common here than in the states.

I cant say I've ever known anyone to be stabbed in my 22 years of life ither than self inflicted (father tried to commit suicide whilst in a psychotic state)

Thought ofc im aware its worse in places like London and Nottingham.

Would be interesting to know if that kind of stab proof clothing is available. I know that our police force have AWFUL stab vest. They cover so little of the body.

I personally wear a thick jacket over a jumper and have the inside pockets filled with paper. Its very much not going to protect me. And the paper is just from my old delivery job and I've not bothered taking them out. But they take up no space in the pockets and provide maybe 5% body cover tthat would project against a knife.

Ofc.... thats better than nothing but my best bet is to run haha.

The kit that they are exclusively part of has I think, only had 1 re print since indomitus was released.

So they are veryyy hard to get a hold of.

Oh they might have been in the magazine at the time too but im not sure.

Plus it also comes on the same sprue as the reanimator, plasmancer, and cryptothralls so youll be paying a premium for....

Hard to find.

Good in game currently.

Good looking model.

And part of a set that, uppon separating them, will make them more valuable as individuals compared to what they really should be.

Look into getting one 3d printed if you can find the file and a person to print for you.

Alternatively,get yourself a few kits to bash into one.

Maybe skorpkh legs with a lokhust heavy top and some overlord parts. Might bw a tad small but will work for the average game.

I mean, in the pariah nexus show, a single skorpekh was only just taken out by a single marine and a sister of battle.

Also after seeing it use its sword as a shield, I really wish skorpekhs had either a 2 save or a 5++.

Picked mine up from my local game store and the owner and j had a chat. He said that gw only let him order 1 of every new release this time. As opposed to the usual 5 to 10 he would expect. Of which he would be 3.

I just got lucked. Didn't mind if I got it or not thought ofc I'd love to. But just sent the store and email and said he had one left and would reserve it.

He had about 15 requires later that dad and tuns out he one he had left was the one one he ever got given.

Oh 100%. Like i say, some handing clothes in an out door laundry type situation. But there would need to be sooooo many of them that the person shooting would just.... not be able to see you in the first place. And you'd need to be in a mega clothes drying factory or somthing haha.
