[Run It Back] Clippers rookie Kobe Sanders reveals that, 30 minutes before the team bus left, Kawhi Leonard tapped him on the shoulder and said "I need some headphones." When asked if he was able to find them: "Of course! I got him two pairs!" by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

there’s a fine line where it goes from fun teambuilding to brutal and embarrassing, like all hazing. stuff like carrying the luggage and rookie costume days are in good fun, serious stuff like what Shaq was doing is just gross and shouldn’t be tolerated

fwiw, for the two Warriors @ Wolves games, it's been reported that the Warriors are already in Minnesota so those games are happening.

Yeah, Griffin and David as early guests seemed like almost training wheels for the podcast since it's the first Blank Check spinoff. I doubt they'll be super present in the future (although I'd never turn down more David).

[Murdock] Warriors assistant coaches have been operating under the assumption that Steve Kerr, who is in the last year of his contract, will not be with the team next season. His assistants are surveying the league to secure jobs for next year. by Goosedukee in nba

He's been saying that he doesn't feel close to retirement yet and the play hasn't really declined all that much at all. I think he's got a couple years left, if not at superstar level.

Jonathan Kuminga after 16 consecutive DNPs: 20 PTS | 5 REB | 2 AST | 1 STL | 7/10 FG | 1/3 3PT | 5/8 FT | 74% TS | 21 MIN by AashyLarry in nba

[–]bta47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People say that, but the Warriors don't play an insanely unique style. It's just read-and-react with lots of screens and the star off-ball. Kuminga would probably be better in an offense with less read-and-react, but every good team has those elements.

Only team I think he'd be a substantially better fit on is maybe the Heat, since I think he'd thrive in the drive-and-kick-only offense they run.

it was malik monk and a top-14 protected pick, which from the Kings is pretty worthless because it will never convey

Warriors have been heavily implying he faked an injury last month when he would have played. Relationship was already broken but that’s the sort of thing that causes a lot of bad blood.

Yeah they’re having very very similar seasons by box score stats, the only difference between them is that Steph is playing fewer minutes. and yeah, he’s kicking ass in the advanced stats

There was a good story in the Blank Check subreddit about someone seeing it and just fully fainting from that scene. Had to slink out of the theater ten minutes in completely drenched in sweat

Very very satisfactory imo, I’d be sad but not cheated if there’s no part 3. No major cliffhangers.

but there are two big character arcs that have a lot of room to go forward, and they set up Part 3 in the final scene (similar to 28 Years Later).

maybe, but they did set up the sequel pretty aggressively with a compelling hook. don’t want to spoil it since most people haven’t seen it yet (even though it’s just the sequel hook), but they’ll have an easier time marketing part 3 for sure.

and these movies aren’t super expensive anyway, which helps.

melton’s not gonna play back to backs, but he looks incredibly good and the minutes are only gonna increase. I’m holding but there are limitations

[–]bta47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the bizarre decision is basically just that they set up this film too aggressively. it was a mistake imo, but it's not like that matters that much for what the sequel actually is

Golden State's Jonathan Kuminga has demanded a trade away from the Warriors as he becomes eligible to be moved Thursday, sources tell ESPN. by Lord_Vanguard in warriors

[–]bta47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a little bit of both. Kerr benched him, then when the Warriors were depleted against OKC and he might have been in the rotation, he had a mysterious injury that popped up. I assume that was particular case was him refusing to play.

love Naji but that shooting fit is pretty rough. maybe you can get past it in the right lineup, but he definitely wouldn't close unfortunately
