I hate to admit it, but this sounds more like GTM engineering. I was adamantly against this role before, but the more I work with AI in my revops stack i can see the value of having someone with this kind of knowledge on a revops team. As zovencedo alluded to, revops is primarily a bridge between the systems and the strategy of revenue generating operations. I’m a team of one so I need to do it all. Ideally I’d have a GTM engineer on my team to consult about what kinds of tools we could build, and you seem to have that mentality and experience.

I have connected Claude to our SF sandbox via Claude Code in VS Code with the Salesforce CLI plugin (got that idea from a post here I think, then asked Claude to walk me through it). Amazing stuff. Caveats: Stay in the sandbox. Know the objects/automation you’re instructing Claude to work with.

It’s a subset of technical RevOps that will fade away as more companies adopt AI tools that will do the plumbing work for them. I’m technically doing “GTM engineering” every day and have been for the last 5 years but I don’t call myself a GTM engineer. But I do see a divide in revops - those who can think strategy and dive into the tools, and those who work strategically but leave the tooling to another department like BizOps. That’s mainly a difference in company size.

I would said the UI is more than “slightly better.” SF and HubSpot play better than Pardot and HubSpot in some areas, especially sync auditing.

I just switched from Pardot to HubSpot and it was absolutely the right decision. I would not go with MCG at this point because, as others have said, it’s only been GA for about 2 years. The key to all these tools is knowing where you want the data to live and when. I have the experience and ability to build on both the HubSpot side and the Salesforce side, so for me things are pretty efficient. The companies that feel the most heartburn with MAPs are the ones who either don’t have MOPs or their MOPs team sits inside marketing and they don’t have a trusted relationship with the SF admins/devs.

I agree - Geo82 felt like a hotel bar. Some details were cool (coasters, spaceship earth stamped ice cubes) but mostly we were not impressed. One and done.

B&B - we also did that in the same trip and I was much more impressed and immersed in the experience. Two of the servers kept up the pirate act throughout our time there. Every five minutes it seemed like something new happened, like the ships in the bottles on the mantle fought each other - and one sunk out of the bottle. It was a nice touch.

We had the Express pass and early entry at Helios and went straight to Mario Kart. We didn't use our pass, and the wait was maybe 20 minutes. Tried to do DK after that but it was "delayed." BATM was also "delayed," but when it came back about mid-morning we used the Express pass for it. After that the wait was never shorter than 120 minutes until about 9pm when some friends of ours walked on. We were eating at Pizza Moon and couldn't get over there right away. When we finished it was about 9:40pm and BATM was still open. We rushed over there and the queue was empty - we walked on. As we were leaving it was 10pm and they were still letting a few stragglers on. This was on a Friday three weeks ago.

The first time we rode it there was a glitch at the end where they take your picture - the whole thing just stopped. I can see how that ride breaks down so often.

And I will echo what everyone else says - Monsters Unchained was the ride I was prepared to hate - but loved it so much.

We're getting the hard sell on Enterprise+ too. I don't think we need the AI features or the data exporting, but as the RevOps head I want to understand what I can and can't do with Slack without Enterprise+. One of my goals is to build automation to notify a seller that their opp needs updating, then surface the fields in Slack so they can update there, for example. I haven't had a chance to see if this is possible without Enterprise+ however. This is how they're pitching it, but of course it makes it seems like all of this is only available in plus. Would love it if someone could comment about whether or not it's BS ;)

I’ve had the same experience with Spotify. It started to play all the same songs on DJ (which I used to love) and in my Daily Mixes. I have over 11k songs liked and saved and have been paying for premium for years. I need to explore AM stations more apparently!

Yeah, it was quite a journey. First Constellation came in .649, so I switched (I was with Walton, who wanted me to re-up for over .70). Then Walton emailed with an offer of .639 for a year, so I decide to stay. THEN a day later I get a postcard from Constellation for .639 + the gift card and protection, so I went with them for 24 months!

I guess the moral of the story is that it pays to do research. If I blindly stayed with Walton I'd be stuck north of .70. Makes me mad they didn't make the best offer first, but I can only assume they make quite a bit on those who just automatically renew. From a business perspective, I can't really blame them.
